Very happy with this grill.
Eric
I can use propane if I choose to (though I hate doing so) Easy to carry and small enough to put in my car and not have to drive the huge pickup when I go camping!
Deborah
Is great for dutch oven cooking.

I bought this to replace a folding hibachi that just couldn't cut it. This is a technical grill, so you need to read the instructions, and have some good tongs. You can end up moving charcoal around a bit. I also got the gas attachment. That burned hot in the center and didn't diffuse very well. The instructions do recommend a center plate to help with that.

But this puppy pops right up when you grab the handle. And then it collapses as soon as you pick it up. And it is very sturdy while cooking, so that quick change ability does not sacrifice robustness.

The grill is designed heavily around dutch oven cooking. It works fine without a dutch oven, but if you do do dutch oven cooking, you'll be in heaven. It also burns wood, so you will always have fuel in a pinch.

I prefer to use natural wood charcoal, and this grill is easier to use with briquets. The recipes and temperature references are all "calibrated" on briquets.

Overall though, this is a fantastic portable grill. Unless you really need the gas, it isn't really required. They also offer a Nomex "hood" to cover the grill, so it can bake or smoke. So you end up with a capability to cook many different styles. This is perfect if you are going to be in your RV or popup for an extended time.

Have had ours for over a year. Is great for dutch oven cooking. We have 12, 10, & 8 inch ovens and they all fit. Also have used as a grill. On our last outing, used it for a small campfire. Great outdoors tool with so many places not allowing open fires.

This thing heats up like a blowtorch and fast. I have been doing dutch oven cooking for years, and I have never had a better solution for dutch oven cooking. This dude gets hot and fast, but it has a vent control that lets you adjust the airflow to the coals. I have never had temperature control like I have with this stove. Excellent.

We had already purchased one of these stoves. They are easy to use and we use them with our dutch oven cooking. They are great to have. We purchased this one as a gift because we have been so pleased with ours.

Very well-made, I expect it to hold up for many hunting seasons. So far I have used it only with wood, and I found the air intake control works very well to keep the fire at a constant temperature. And you can easily add more air when you need it to flare up the next log. I am sure it will work just as well with charcoal. I did not purchase the propane attachments, but the unit is set up to accept them should I decide to try gas.

My Valcano oven is my best friend at our dutchoven cooking gathering. As I have bad hips I can sit in a chair and do all the cooking. My dutch oven sits in the Valcano just pereftly. I find that I use less charcoal and the temperture is constant. Less mess and less things to carry to our "D.O.G." {dutch oven gathering.] Thanks for a great helper!

I originally purchased this grill to be a small usable easy to put away product that I could use on the balcony in my apartment since we have restrictions on using any fuel source other than propane. I have been extremely disappointed with the cooking ability while using propane. This grill will eat through gas like it's cool if you leave it in the full open position and you won't get much heat out of it if you don't leave it full open. Additionally there is not much distribution of heat and it is almost impossible to cook something that is not directly over the burner. If I could return it I would, if you are looking for an easy in the city grill this isn't the answer.

That being said since I can not return it I have used it as a charcoal grill during a few camping trips. For this it is actually pretty good, easy to transport, doesn't take up much space and setting it up is a breeze.

Bottom line if you are planning on using propane as your primary fuel source look elsewhere.

As the title says, gotta have this handy little multi use grill...I have owned and used it for several years now, love it...I always take it camping, has never failed me...Makes a great fire pit too....I have grilled everything from ribeyes, to chicken breasts, lamb chops, veggies, etc., and cooked it all perfectly...

Cast Iron cookware works perfectly with this as well, great combo....a 12" Dutch Oven fits inside for nice, easy cooking....

I have used both charcoal and wood, cut firewood batoned to fit, and misc pieces on the forest floor, burns it all very effeciently and cleanly...

I do not have the propane attachment, as i have a nice 4 burner gas grill that i would use first...

this is a great piece of kit for emergencies, car camping, beach camping and tailgating..

I highly recommend it....PSYOP
