5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant review of modern volcano geodesy, October 10, 2007

(REAL NAME)
Excellent book for both Earth Sciences students and researchers. It offers a comprehensive review of geodetic techniques used in volcano monitoring, as well as a most useful chapter on volcano deformation modelling (with corresponding mathematical expression in the attached DVD). Dzurisin bridges the technical gap between conventional books on volcano monitoring and scientific journal articles on modelling. As such, it is a great support for teaching, for advanced students who want to specialize in volcano deformation, as well as for researchers willing to develop their skills in this field. Highly recommended.
