This is one of those albums that would be on everyone's top ten list for the year (think How it Ends, by DeVotchKa), if only they'd heard it.
Dark and dramatic, with soaring vocals and melodies similar to obvious comaprisons like Muse and early Radiohead, but with a more intimate, human feel.
From the high emotion of Yesterday/Tomorrow and Fell, to the more mellow, wistful In Between The Days, to the inexplicably catchy Ancient Modern People, Volcano and Heart is worth a listen.

How is this album not getting any press in the indie rock mags? I read most of them to get suggestions on new music, but I have seen nothing on the Coral Sea. It's a shame as this could be one of the best cds of 2005. The easy, generic comparison to Bends era Radiohead is inevitable because of Rey Villalobos vocals, the symphonic sound, and the mellow drone. It's not nearly as dark as the afformentioned band. Overall it is a mellow affair with some songs coming off like if Mojave 3 turned up the volume a little. Rey's voice is really what makes this something special. I heard their Under the westway song on Pandora and I knew I had to buy the album.

This cd was sent to me extremely fast and in perfect condition. Great music, relaxing, I would definitely recommend this cd to anyone.

Quite a buffet of music here on this album. Lush guitar and elements of rock combined to make something of a cross between Cocteau Twins and Placebo. While not all of the tracks are to my liking, songs like Fell and Your Time Has Come immediately caught my ear and needed to be heard again and again and again...

Rey Villalobo's lyrics and singing are already at a high pinnacle and it will be interesting to see where the band goes from here as they mature and become well seasoned.

I got this cd after listening to a couple songs on Pandora Radio for a long while, mostly track 6 - Your Time Has Come. I really grew to love that track on the radio, but after getting the cd I realized every song on the album was just as good. Playing through the cd, you never run into that track that you always just want to skip, and playing the whole thing through makes for a very enjoyable musical experience!

When I say great album, I mean it. This is great, just that simple. It does have that Radiohead-esque sound, coming from a radiohead fan, I love it. recommend it!

Its like a mix between mercury rev, lightning seeds and radiohead but still completely different. It is the most beautifully sad record written since Strangeways Here We Come by the Smiths. No review can do this album justice and I cant wait for another one from this amazing band. It is a 5 star album but i cant figure out how to fix it from the 4 stars i gave it.
