Volcanoes and Earthquakes explains the earth's surface, volcanic anatomy, and the eruption and earthquake processes. The most recent eruptions and quakes (Mount St. Helens and Mexico City) are described. Bramwell presents concise, informative explanations of the forces that have shaped and are still reshaping our planet (and possibly others). He includes aspects of geology, chemistry, physics, meteorology, and archeology, demonstrating the interrelationship of all the sciences.
