This book is an excellent source of information for novice and expert alike. It includes many exploded diagrams, photographs, and color wiring diagrams. If you own a 1966-1969 VW Bug or Karmann Ghia you NEED this book in your shop or garage!

Just spend a little more on this book, than the other publications, because it is ten times more usefull. I wish I had bought it first.

If your a first time re-builder, or an old hand with Volkswagen Beetles/Ghias this manual is indispensable. It lays the car apart bit by bit in its pristeen condition, prior to the bath of oil, grease and road grime in its future. The photos are easy to see (if only the parts on my '68 were as clean) and close enough to determine the true shape. The only draw back to Bentley's Service Manual is the dependence on the official VW tools that probably don't exist outside of Germany or a hard core Bug builder's garage. It gives no alternative to using the tools listed, which could be frustrating for the novice. The main reason for having this book in your garage library is for he easy cookbook manner in which it is laid out and for the original specifications for the vehicles.

I realize that the Karmann Ghia is just a Beetle with a fancy shell, but I expected that there would be some mention of service items specific to the Ghia. The only place the Ghia is mentioned is on the cover. This book would not be especially helpful for restorers of Ghias.

Unlike the crappy Haynes manuals this one actually has blow-out pictures of major parts and troubleshooting guides and whatnot instead of the Haynesian instructions of 'remove part/fix part/reinstall in reverse order' actually walks you through the required steps of removing, fixing And reinstalling the broken parts. Highly recommended!

This product was as advertised, shipped very quickly and was in perfect new condition. The information in the manual is very detailed. A must have for any Volkswagen Owner!

I bought this book as a gift and I was told that thus far it has been incredibly useful. The person I bought this for purchased the shell of a 1969 Karmann Ghia and had informed me that he refers to it often. I cannot speak for myself as I have not read the book personally however, from what I have heard, it is a great buy.

Everything you ever wanted to know about your bug is in this book. I sold mine because I was selling my bug, I didn't sell it and now I need another one. Definitely recommend to anybody that owns one. You'll save money by doing some work on your car yourself.

This is a well written book. Easy to understand instructions and how to sections. Covers all areas to do it yourself.
