After purchasing a 2000 New Beetle and having a license plate light go out and spending $63.00 to have 1 stupid light bulb replaced (industry standard allows that price at the dealership - highway robbery!). We purchased this book and I can proudly say that I can get a front headlamp assembly off the car, adjust the bulb housing, put a new headlamp in and put back the headlamp assembly within 5 minutes and save myself over $55.00. Book shows easy ways to change all the bulbs, how to care for the sunroof, how to change the cable to fix the gas door, how to change the 3rd brake light, I could go on and on. True bargain.

A must have book for any Beetle owner. While self repairs may be beyond mosts ability, or equipment, the information contained here can certainly assist in dealing with repair shops.

This book has saved me a few hundred bucks already. I was able to isolate a few problems and fix them for almost nothing. Highly recommended.

Good stuff! Not as much or as detailed info as the Bentley Publishers manual, but very helpful. SOme of the instructions are sort of unclear, could be much more detail. Still great, though. Information on fixing a lot of problems.
