Bentley is the best for VWs. Has it all and still relatively easy to read and follow steps. Could have more and clearer pictures for us who need visuals.

I followed the constant advice to get the best book to work on the best car.

So Far I have not needed to use it but once for the wiring diagram to solve an install issue.

I probally will read closely through it next time I need to do some mechanical work to my car (i have already dismantled my engine once and rebuilt it, runs great)

Book is quality, lots of information, clean dialog, and has reliable photos of the real car.

Problem: This book focuses heavily on scirocco and I noticed has little room for the Rabbit.
Especially my special year model - 81.

Even it seems the sections I browsed through it gives priority to scirocco and jetta above the rabbit.

True though much of the cars are all the same it would be nice to recognize when it says "for 84 scirocco" it means "for 84 scirocco, jetta, and rabbit"
because sometimes it seems to leave out the fact the 3 or 4 cars are almost identical and sometimes they are uniquely different for certain year models.

Today is April 15 and I have not received this catalog that was paid in early March, despite the payment of the airfreight had not a lower rate, it has no service of tranking the AWB. I do not know where the catalog is. I am dissapontied with your mail service.

i got a used one and it has greasy fingerprints all over it but i got a good deal on it. this along with maybe a couple other books will tell you everything you need to know.

IT is a very good manual but not up to the calibre of bentleys other manuals. Some things are hardly covered at all for example the carburetor system or scirocco wiring for different models.
