if you own a 63 - 67 bus this manual is for you
what can you say.. if you own a VW you have to have a manual. This manual is very well put together and we can't imagine not having it.

Complicated
Don't throw away your Idiot Guide just yet (as last reviewer would have you do.) Yes this book has everything in it you need to fix your VW Bus, but it is extreamly hard to find what you need. There is no index (my biggest complaint) and the wireing diagrams are mostly usless since there is no color and plus they did not match my 65 correctly. As a novice you can pretty...

Don't throw away your Idiot Guide just yet (as last reviewer would have you do.) Yes this book has everything in it you need to fix your VW Bus, but it is extreamly hard to find what you need. There is no index (my biggest complaint) and the wireing diagrams are mostly usless since there is no color and plus they did not match my 65 correctly. As a novice you can pretty much pass on this book and stick with Muir and friendly advice untill you are ready to tackle more complicated issues.

This manual is large and in charge....it is much larger then I expected. I always wondered why it was so much money and when it arrived I realized, this is a very complete manual, I would buy it again, and should have bought it 4 years ago when I got my bus. One star short due to the black and white wire diagram. If that was color it'd be perfect.

Great if you can fill in the blanks,

This manual isnt as detailed as i would have hoped concerning certain parts. what it is detailed at is the breakdown of the engine and transmission. and large parts like that. the little stuff you have to figure out urself. all in all its a good book for anyone restoring a volkswagen transporter

for the price it should have color wiring diagrams as the original then i'd of given it 5 stars...you'll throw out the tattered copy of st.muir
