12 Volt 7 Amp Hour Alarm Battery

I purchased this larger battery to replace the worn out 4 AMP/HOUR battery in my alarms system. The battery, although significantly larger then the one it replaced, easily fit the large cabinet housing my alarms systems main boards. The hook-up wires had the same connectors, and the leads were long enough to reach the contacts on this battery, although again, the connectors on the battery were in a different arrangement. So, no problem at all installing this as a replacement.

Once installed, the system immediately recognized that I had replaced the faulty battery. The indicator showing a battery fault was off by the time I came from the closet where the main unit cabinet is mounted to the location of the control panel. BTW, I had called my alarm company and told them I was replacing the battery, and to please turn off any alarms for one hour (ignore alarm output calls) since I was working on the system. They had been getting an operational warning signal anyway, due to the bad battery being in place, for about a week and the system was not being fully monitored anyway. After replacement, I went through a routine alarm system test. All worked fine, and continues to now, about 6 weeks after replacement. Also, another benefit is that this battery SHOULD keep the alarms system running on power outages for as long as two days. The original would work only a little more than one day with power off.

I recommend this battery.

This battery was ordered to replace a bad central alarm back up battery that was causing a status every morning. The battery was shipped in a thin bubble wrap envalope with no protection. When received the terminals were bent against the case and the battery would not take a charge due to an open cell (tested on a smart digital charger). Due to the weight and shipping cost I decided to chalk it up to a bad decision on my part. I called a local alarm company and got a good battery, cost more bat at least it worked.

Alarm system battery arrived quickly and is already installed ending the bad battery system warning beeps. I am a price shopper and this offered the best value including shipping that I found.

It is a battery. It looks just like the one that came in my alarm system. The old battery lasted three years. If this one lasts as long, it will be a good battery. Time will tell.

Bought this in June of last year. Went dead about a month ago. No surprise there is no warranty on these. Don't buy from these jokers.

Didn't receive the Toyo battery by Interstate. That was what I ordered but receive a sub. It's a Universal Battery UB1270 P. Seems to work just fine. Took the 14 year old YUASA out hooked up new all seems well. Now, just to see how long these last.

The only reason I ordered the Toyo by Interstate was we use Interstate in our 72 Ford tractor and a couple of our classic cars. They have a good rep.

Gave 4 stars but only because all was shipped on timely base, arrived on in tack, and works. Depending how long these last a higher mark may be called for.
