5.0 out of 5 stars The best juicer for the Serious Juicer and Everyday Joe!!
I am a juicing fanatic! So naturally I wanted to try all of the juicers and comparison shop before I bought my own. I must say, the Braun Juice Extractor takes the cake! Here's why:

1. This Juicer is easy to assemble: the Juiceman Jr always was difficult to connect all of the parts together.

2. This Juicer is easy to DISassemble: Trying to take the rotating mesh...

please check under the jucier if you can see all the white blades(8)of the exhauset fan inside that little hole. If you can't see it, they are all broken and should be return for services. It happended to my two orders and i think it is the way that they shipped it. Your juicer will worked without the exhaust fan but it will shorten its life.

2. This Juicer is easy to DISassemble: Trying to take the rotating mesh blade off of the Juiceman Jr is a pain (and can be painfull!)

3. The design is VERY spacesaving and ergonomically correct: The Juiceman Jr has a large, unnatached bin and normal glass that doesn't fit or store well with the juicer unit. The Braun Juice Extractor however, fits together in all one base unit, and even the pouring bin that recieves the juice snuggly fits against the juicer unit.

4. The REALLY cool foam strainer: This is the best part! If you've ever juiced, you know what a pain the foam at the top is! You can't get rid of the foam without actually straining it or scooping it away; you can kiss that foam goodbye with the strainer!

5. The detachable tray at the top allows you to hold your fruit and veggies without messing up other bowls and cutting boards.

6. It's just better that all the rest! Try it, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you want a first juicer, this is the one for you., September 25, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USA (Kitchen)
I bought this juicer based on 2 factors, (1) Recommendations and (2) Price. I shopped for a few weeks for this appliance and tested out many juicers at stores in town.

I waited for about a month after I bought this product to write my review because I wanted to provide a different perspective (from experience) other than a review from someone who just got the juicer.

Please read the other reviews for this product - they are very descriptive. For a first juicer (which this is for me), this is a great product. It has worked without flaw or failure for me for about a month. I make juice 2-3 times a day and use mostly vegatables (carrots, beets, parsely, cabbage, etc) - this juicer has never stopped or given even a minute of trouble. It is easy to clean up and I can't describe how great the design is. It is easy to use, and unlike more expensive juicers, I won't feel back about having to replace it a year or two from now because it has a great price.

If you want a first time juicer, this is the machine for you, I recommend it without any reservation.

5.0 out of 5 stars the perfect juicer, December 5, 2002
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USA (Kitchen)
The design of this juicer is pure excellence. Very attractive, light, and compact, it takes up less space than any of the others I've seen, and the ease of cleaning it makes me not mind using it 3 or 4 times a day; and it is the thoroughness of the cleaning that puts this machine way above the the rest. I have owned other juicers, and ended up throwing them away, because of the nooks and crannies that were impossible to get to, and accumulated "suspicious substances". Usually the juice spout was the problem area, and in this case, it is short and open, giving you easy access for cleaning.

Quick to take apart and assemble, with it's handy "filling tray" and cup with foam separator, it has a slot for cord storage, and though it does make a noise while proccessing, it doesn't sound like a sand blaster, as some others do.
As much as I like the terrific Braun blender I bought a few months ago, I'm equally pleased with this. Juicing gives you the most nutrition for the least amount of stress on your digestive system, so it's a great way to get your enzymes, minerals and vitamins, and this is by far the best and simplest machine to get those precious liquids from.

Each morning when I use this amazing and beautiful machine, I am in awe of the design and the workmanship. Everyone I know who uses a juicer for healthful vegetable juice complains about the pain they have in storing the huge thing and cleaning it. But not me...I make my juice each morning as recommended by Dr. Andrew Weil and have NO TROUBLE at all. This machine is strong and small and pretty and easy and dependable. Braun people....thank you. This is the best deal anyone can get.

3.0 out of 5 stars good for small quantities, but weak on lots of carrots!, November 26, 2000

This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USA (Kitchen)
overall, it's a decent product. but, over time, i've found that when you juice more than 1/3 bag of carrots, the motor becomes weak, and does not extract as much juice as the first time around. the pulp is chopped up, but the juice does not get extracted. often, waiting half an hour for the motor to rest will revive the extraction process. but then again, what a pain!

juicing apples or soft veggies/fruits is fine. and for the price, it's pretty good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fan is the weak point, March 2, 2004

This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USA (Kitchen)
I checked out all the previous reviews when I was buying my juicer, and noted that two people complained about fan blades breaking off.

So I checked mine when it arrived, and it had two blades missing. It was still supposed to work, but when I turned it on, the missing blades massacred the remaining standing. So now its fan was without blades at all, and the juicer wouldn't even start any more.

I am returning it to Amazon, thanks to them that they refund the shipping. However, my girlfriend has owned the exact same brand for five years and it's been perfect for her. So I am probably ordering a replacement.

Judging on lauding reviews and the Braun reputation, it must be a good product, just check for the fan on the bottom panel of the juicer when it arrives, to make sure all the blades are there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Raw food Jucier, December 4, 2003
This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USA (Kitchen)
I love this little juicer! I have had it for a year now and I juice daily. It is worth every penny. It is compact and stores nicely. I keep mine on the counter, since it is used daily. Fruits and vegatables run through the hopper quite well.Clean up is a snap.It takes me all but 30 seconds to rinse. Some people think that cleaning the screen is a pain. I find using an old clean toothbrush to scrub at the screen under hot water is all that is needed.I would diffinately buy this one again!

4.0 out of 5 stars easy to use, September 15, 2002
This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USA (Kitchen)
this is a overall good juicer, easy to clean and get most of the function that you need and it is made in Germany, other juicer no matter how expensive, they are made in China. One minor thing I would expect if they can make all the plastic to black, white stain easily over time and hard to clean, but I am ok, since I use it everyday I don't care too much, you will find some pulp in the juice but just a little, and the eject path is not 100% smooth for the pulp to release, those are the area they need to improve, if they do I will give 5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good!!, March 30, 2003

This review is from: 220 Volt Braun MP80 Juice Exractor- WILL NOT WORK IN THE USA (Kitchen)
Its a great juicer. Its the first juicer ive purchased and i am very satisfied with what it does. Easy clean up! It also has a foam separator which makes the juice smoother. The only thing is that when making juice, it tends to be pulpy. So if you dont like pulpy juice it wont work for you. In addition, there were no instructions included in the box that tells you how to make juice. If you've never made juice before, then you need to purchase another book that tells you how to do it.
