Simple pump, but it works great.

Even after priming it, it doesn't have enough to draw the water up a foot and half.

Does a great job for a low cost product.

I was looking for a small cheap 12 volt pump that i could use to wet my compost pile from the creek that runs nearby, when i turn the leaves in my compost bin, It does exactly what i hoped it would do!

We got a jacuzzi and wanted to use solar power so we hooked this up to a battery that was hooked up to a solar cell.
The battery was used to circulate water in our solar collector and surprisingly it works like a top. I would recommend this to anyone who asked

I used this pump for winterizing the boat. Pumping out the bilge and water lines. Did a great job. It is not positive displacement so you have to pre-fill the suction line. It did everything I needed.

I run this off a backup car battery charger. It works well, you need to have water running before starting, otherwise you will kill the pump. I've found the pump has lost some of it's strength during the year I have used it. You can't run it continuously for more than 15 minutes but it has been good for pumping rainwater from barrels for me.

This 12vdc utility pump is portable and takes up little space. I mounted this pump on my boat as an emergency backup bilge pump. I was very happy with the how quickly the pump evacuated the water during my testing. I now have two pumps, one mounted and the other portable.

This pump is held out to be self priming. It is not. If you read the instructions it states that the unit has to have fluid put into the van pump area or you can ruin the pump. That is priming. Also, the instructions do not say what the lift capacity of the pump is but it is probably limited to a 5 foot hose on the suction side. All in all they just do not disclose the operating restrictions of the unit.

This was a disappointment and lasted only fifteen minutes pumping windshield washer fluid before burning out. It worked initially but apparently overheaded and died. I disassembled it and found plastic material on the ends of the armature had melted and oozed over the magnets and frozen.
