Voltage Overload,
By A Customer
This review is from: Voltage Overload: A Tribute to AC/DC (Audio CD)
This is a collection of AC/DC music from tribute bands all over the world. If you are a hard-core AC/DC fan some of the interpetations may bother you a little bit. There are some great tracks worth listening to: One of the more impressive is Robert Valdes'cover of "What do you do for Money Honey". He played some nice lead guitar as well as the bass, drums and sang the lead and back up vocals. Another interesting track is "Back in Black" performed by the all female band "Whole Lotta Rosies". They are some very talented women. As far as the closest sounding band to AC/DC I would have to go with track number 8--"If you want blood--you got it". This is by the Chicago band Downpour. This track has great lead guitar and I think one of the better if not best lead vocals on the disc.

Live Wire, done by Dirty Deeds Indeed, is a unique rendition and my favorite on this CD. What You Do For Money is also one of the best ones on this CD. Collectors of good tribute CDs will not waste their $$ on this one. I bought it a year or two ago and I enjoy it. "AC/DC We Salute You" (Amazon has it) is a better CD, but this one is a good one. |
