My main disappointment is with the description as "Metallic".

Voltron the concept is awesome. If you're an 80's born kid, you know the nostalgia that you would hope for in a "25th anniversary" Metallic edition. It's like 90's born kids playing with Power Ranger's Megazord in about 10 years from now. But this disappointed.

I had the original metal Voltron when I was younger. The one where you can launch the lions' heads by pressing a button, and where each one could fire a plastic bullet inserted from a different part of each individual lion's body.

This metallic version, I hoped, would replace that since I no longer have it on hand. But this edition is plastic all around. You can tell just by the weight of it. If it looks like plastic, feels like plastic, weighs like plastic...then it's plastic.

Also, this didn't have the cool features of the lion heads being able to be launched via a button nor did this come with plastic bullets or the other neat little intricacies of each lion. It just comes with the Sword and Shield.

I would have easily paid more for the real metallic version had this been described as "Plastic". I just wanted to let others know before purchasing this maybe expecting the metal version we may all had while growing up.

I'm happy i found "my beloved childhood hero" toy once again. me and my friends used to play with the metal (old model) lions, although we really couldn't form Voltron (the lions weren't complete); we had so much fun playing with the lions.

As much as i loved (and still love) Voltron, this make is not and cannot be as durable as the ones we had in the 80's, but its ok though, cos i don't intend to "play" with it anymore ("wink-wink") - just the Joy of having it in my collection is enough for me.

I purchased this Voltron for my son. It's a nice figure to add to your collection. I think the major issue with this Voltron is the durability. It seems fragile. I don't think it can hold a fall if someone would drop it. Overall I'm happy with it. It's more of a collectors item in my opinion.

I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the set. I cannot believe how weak the plastic is. Word cannot express the sheer disappointment.

This was a gift for my 31 yr old brother, he had one as a child and I left the dog eat the yellow one. He never got over it till Christmas 2010 when I replaced it.

Voltron is what got me hooked on the super robot genre. I never had a Voltron toy, until now! This toy is awesome! Highly detailed, super posable, and just plain awesome. I am honored to have Voltron in my collection ^ ^ .

My son has really enjoyed the toy since i got it for him for his birthday. I must say the toy was good for its price.

I had hope this toy would be awsome. My wife is the big Voltron kidd in our house. But what a disapointment! This thing is all plastic, hard to move the lions without fear of breaking them, harder yet to fit the lions togather to form Voltron. I am not happy with this at all..... don't waist your mony unless you never intend to take it out of the box....

This figure is akin to those transformer knock offs you see in big lots. The plastic is the absolute weakest and guess what? It's Not metal at all! Nor is it "Metallic".

This figure is nice for detail but must only be for display and definitely not for little kids. I had to get one for reference to art for an upcoming voltron book and compared to the originals this was the cheapest. Pass if it sells for over 30 dollars. Honestly not worth it.

Reasonable purchase price for Voltron Gift Set compared to prices set for Die cast models. Features easy to configure lions in nice vibrant colors. Probably not great for kids because its made of plastic, but a nice figure for the Voltron fan.
