About the Author
Kenneth P. Marion dedicated this book to the "tens of thousands of volunteer fire departments and the millions of volunteer firefighters serving their neighbors in the towns, villages and cities of the United States. And to my dad, the ultimate fire buff." Born on Manhattan's West Side, Ken was partially raised in the firehouse of Engine Company 56, a professional firefighting team. As an adult he moved to Long Island, NY in areas served by Volunteer Departments.
