From Library Journal
First published in 1987, this book now lists about 125 volunteer projects in which people may participate while on vacation. Entries include geographical locations, dates, costs, descriptions of the work involved, and necessary skills. The activities cover the globe and range from archaeology, public health, and environmental research to community development, railway preservation, and social action. Five helpful indexes are provided. Although not comprehensive, this work could be a useful reference source in public libraries not owning the first edition.
