Eighty more pages and over 100 more illustrations than the regular Brooklands books. Expanded coverage features even more articles by the top automotive journalists from the world's leading automotive publications. Excellent values.

Exciting insight into a time long gone.,

This review is from: Volvo 140 & 160: Gold Portfolio 1966-1975 (Paperback)
Reviews from all English speaking countries. On the car, it is quite repetitive though interesting enough. Real fun is the "time travel" into car literature, the visibility of feminism being a fenomenon gaining force only after these Volvos were introduced, the difference in writing style especially when comparing englishmen and americans, and the open preference for Volvo and "Volvo-values" that some journalists express. Technically, it is interesting to read about the roots of ABS and WHIPS decades before those acronyms came into existence, and for owners of these cars it is plain fun to find out what you are riding in. The book is worth the money, but the printing and binding quality is awful. Cover came off when I came as far as page 20.
