5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put it down!!!!!!
I found this book in a local store im memphis and was interested initially b/c it was by a local author. I also had some previous experience researching voodoo and thought it would be interesting. I could not put this book down. It sucks you into it and you just have to find out what happens next. It was very suspensful and fast paced. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Too far out for me - based on real experience?
An interesting story from a wild imagination, but from actual experience? I don't think so. If you don't take it seriously it is an enoyoable visit to the world of hocus-pocus and horror.

I found this book in a local store im memphis and was interested initially b/c it was by a local author. I also had some previous experience researching voodoo and thought it would be interesting. I could not put this book down. It sucks you into it and you just have to find out what happens next. It was very suspensful and fast paced. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a second, autographed copy. If you like suspense, You will love this book. Also, Memphians should get a kick out of the fact that most of the action takes place in Memphis, TN.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Memphis Museum will never seem the same., September 20, 2010

Mr. Spicer uses actual locations to set his scenes. This one is primarily in the Memphis Museum and Memphis itself. Once you read this book, a visit to either will not be the same. Loved the book. Wish he would write more and I don't particularly like scary stories. You will not put this one down!

When I bought this book, I had never heard of Jarrod Spicer. I was just out at [local bookstore] one day and he was there for a signing. I decided to buy his book since he was there and because there is never enough room for autographed books! Well, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I started reading this book and found myself not able to put it down. What a truly realistic yet scary story! Makes you wonder if these things are really possible! His ability to tell stories will keep me coming back in the future! I cannot wait for his next release! I think that everyone who loves Horror Books should own a copy of this book...

5.0 out of 5 stars Voodoo Doll by Jarrod Spicer, August 18, 2002

This review is from: Voodoo Doll (Hardcover)
I really enjoyed "Voodoo Doll." While reading this book, I could easily picture all the horror and excitement in my mind. I
would love to see this be made into a horror movie. The book keeps you interested from start to finish...first by explaining Voodoo...then while scaring you with the actions of the demon... and finally the shocking ending. Being an Author myself, I feel books need to be exciting and believable. I feel Jarrod Spicer has taken his real life experience with Voodoo and written a very good horror novel...Please consider purchasing a copy for yourself or as a gift...You won't be disappointed!
Sincerely,
Larry Hupp
