This review is from: Voodoo Passion ~ By: Jess Franco (Widescreen Director's Cut - Classic 1977 (VHS Tape)
The story of this film is of a woman who visits her husband on the island of Haiti, he's some kind of British politician and she gets knee deep in voodoo.
It starts off like some kind of travel monologue as a very serious voice over talks over native girls dancing topless on the beach, then we cut to the main character played by Ada Tauler who, after driving to her house takes her blouse off and barely puts it on for the rest of the film.
We're treated to a night at a jazz club although I've never seen a jazz band with two big boobed and naked native girls jiggling away, 3 voodoo sessions (all nude)and a couple of bathing scenes (again all nude),in fact, if you take out the nude scenes, you could probably watch this film in a TV ad break, it's gratuitous, sure but the abundance and pure quality of it is outrageously high.
Of course, nudity isn't enough to make a good film but this is extremely watchable, the story makes sense (kind of) which is rare for Franco but it's Vicky Adams and Ada Tauler who push this film from 3 stars to 4 with those voodoo sessions.
Giggedy giggedy!.
