Fits the Vortex 8X36 R/T perfectly. If you're gonna spend the money for the monocular/scope, then spend the few extra bucks for the cover that fits it.

Bought this for my 50mm Vortex scope and it was way too small (#6), so I ordered a larger size and I will see how that goes. The #6 works fine on a 45mm scope so I wont be returning it. Seems like something is strange with the size ratings. Othan than that it works solid. Good for the price.

update - bought the #7 for my Vortex crossfire 2 (50mm), the #7 fits perfect even though it says 55-61mm. There is an optic mesuring chart on the package with inches and a size chart. If you dont get it right the fist time use the chart. Might be a tad noisy when it pops open, so hunters take note. You can twist it a bit to avoid the pop, but Im nitpicking. Small price to pay to protect your investment.

This is a great little product. Purchased to fit on the Vortex Solo 10x36 mm Monocular (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00161ZI4A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it fits well. It is not as tight on the monocular as a different brand on my binoculars, but it is tight enough to stay on and not move around or come off.
It was sold by (Focus Camera) and fulfilled by Amazon, and got here quickly with no issues.

For comparable cost to Butler Creek's version, the new Vortex rifle scope flip-up covers are a much better buy: the tube part is rubber-based, not plastic, so you get a snug fit and a better seal to help keep out water. Plus the hinge is designed to be more durable. Vortex lacks the little red lever, but really who cares.... Besides, my Butler Creek caps keep breaking off at the hinge.

As another reviewer reminded: measure the *outer* diameter of your scope bells. Know that front and back likely differ in size, even if not quite obvious on your scope.

These fit much, much better than the junky plastic covers from Butler Creek. Gotta love competition!

I read many reviews on the Butler Creek lens caps, and gathered that they would probably break sooner than they should. Not knowing of any inexpensive alternatives, I was about to just accept that and buy them. However, I read one more review on the Butler Creek caps where someone recommended a look at these caps, and I am glad that I took their advice. I have only been using these for about a month now (lots of playing and a little less shooting), but I see no reason why they should not last for many years to come. The build quality is very good, and the hinge appears much more durable than other caps in this price range. I was a little unsure about the elastic design of these caps at first, but I have not had an issue with them moving (or sticking when I want them to move). They behave almost the same as plastic body caps. They do have some opening and closing noise, but it has not been an issue for me. I recommend these!

Sidenote: The scope that I put these on is the Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9x40 BDC 150. Size 5 (40mm-46mm) eyepiece, and size 6 (46mm-55mm) objective.

These lens caps work great. They form a pretty good seal when closed and are easily flipped up and out of the way. The only thing I didn't like was that the Vortex website said to order size 6 for a 50mm objective lens. When I received the size 6, I found that it would fit but had to be stretched quite a bit to fit the 50mm lens. The end also obstructed the objective lens. The caps came in a package with a scope-sizing guide printed on a card. My 50mm was about half-way into size 7. I ordered a size 7 and it fit much better.

I have placed Vortex Optics Flip Cap Covers on three scoped rifles and am otherwise very pleased with them.

I bought a Butler Creek cap and it would not stay shut. I called them and they very propmtly sent me another that wont stay shut. So I went over to the Vortex facility and bought a new one that fits and works flawlessly. Vortex is near my home. They have a fantastic crew and a nice display room. I will still consider other optics products but my go to will be Vortex. I now have two Vortex scopes with Vortex Objective caps.
