if you can imagine prehab sprout's songs being arranged by mercury rev, you're halfway home..... add a touch of 'radioactivity'-era kraftwerk, two media skits worthy of the firesign theatre....and you've all you need to know.... beautiful, touching AND funny. forget 'ok computer,' THIS is the 'dark side of the moon ' for both the moog generation and the next generation. this is where a great concept gets the brilliant execution it deserves...
not to boast, but i have listened to at least a part of over 3,000 cds so far this year and even if every one of the other 2,999 had sucked, it was all worth it just to hear vostok 6.
recommended for fans of prefab sprout, newer flaming lips, the divine comedy, eric matthews , mercury rev.

Could Swinghammer have come up with a more obscure topic for this work? An eclectic nostalgic look into the Space Race from a very different angle. Really cool.

This cd is really an amazing new work, thanks to the ultimate RIGHTEOUS BABE, ANI DIFRANCO, as Kurt is on her label. Ani is the ultimate in promoting edgy, new experimental music, and I fully embrace her work, especially this new piece by Kurt. I'd definitely buy it again, and again, and again.
