Charming 18th century parody,

This delightful work by a late 18th-cent French nobleman parodies contemporary travel accounts with a detailed report of the author's journey around his room during forty-odd days of house arrest. It now reads almost as a postmodern work, the same way Tristam Shandy does. Influenced Machado de Assis, another highly recommended author of the period.
