This review is from: Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women (1968) (DVD)
I'm one of those people who can usually find something good about most things. Part of my disappointment with this movie is I thought it would be another old sci-fi movie I remembered from my childhood - it wasn't. How many old sci-fi movies with women in seashell bras can there be? This movie doesn't have any great qualities except that it's cool from a film history perspective. Peter Bogdonavich (director & narrator) and Roger Corman (uncredited producer), what were you thinking? LOL
The "Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet" was fun in a 'bad sci-fi' way but in this version, the original "Planeta Bur" (1962) was re-vamped to add the Venusian women. It was still fun but weirder! "Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women" was the second time the original film was re-edited. I hope I have all 3 versions now and one of these days I'll have a 'bad sci-fi' marathon with them!!
