This "Music Creation Game" is totally awesome. If you have ever wanted to scratch like a pro-dj, make phat raps, or even record your OWN raps this is the game. With over 1,000 loops, bass lines, raps, sound effects, voice recordings, your own scratches and more. There is two side screens other than the 6-line music creator that you drag&drop effects for the song the scratch and the recording studio. The scratch area is where you can scratch like a pro by draging your mouse to turn the record, drag your own sound effects into there and scratch the ... out of them. You can make a whole scratch line for your song or make a perfect scratch for your other songs. This is great if you can't afford all the expensive equiptment to scratch really! The recording studio is where you "record lyrics" or "effects" for your song. In all this is a phat 5 star game for anyone who has the talent of music creation.

I strongly recommend you consider a different product, such as Acid Hip Hop, instead. Acid is a more flexible program, with a tempo that is adjustable during the song and with more simultaneous tracks (eJay has only 8), and it also has better samples.
I was hoping that the scratch editor would make this worth using, but it's totally broken. I was totally unable to get decent sounds out of it, and I *have* been able to get decent scratching out of other programs.
I simply cannot recommend this program to anyone.

This brings back memories...I started using Hip Hop eJay back in like 98-99 and it is the greatest program invented at the time in my opinion...Later after moving to Sony Acid which I've been using for 11-12 years now I realize how limited that program was...It pigeon held you into certain musical situations that a producer would never want to be in but at the end of the day when I finally get to where I want to be in the music biz I'll have a special place in my heart for Hip Hop eJay...I kinda want to buy a copy just to have...lol

I was hoping this program would be better than the Dance EJay. The impossible happened! The horrible program known as Dance EJay is not the worst music creating program out there. I'd give it negative stars, but one positive star is as low as it gets. This Program was unbelievably boring. First of all, you can not make your own tracks. OK you can input your own vocals, or use the retarded scratch screen. The scratches don't sound real or even give the impression that they were actually scratched. You can only use the pre-programed bass lines, backgrounds, and sound effects. You can't even really alter the tempo. For some strange reason, the creators of this program decided that every person using their software would all prefer to use the same stuff (tempo, loops, garbage). All I can say to not bash this waste of money is....... Well, I'll just recommend that you buy ACID Music or MTV Music Generator. The flexibility and fun factor of these programs alone are more than enough reason to get them. Not considering that you can create many completely different music genres in many forms. This EJay stuff is for the ignorant simpletons. For those of us who would like to make enjoyable or profittable music, stick to ACID or MTV. With these two, you can't go wrong. As for the hours and days or enjoyment mentioned in other reviews, It simply is not there. I used this program for about an hour before I wanted to break the CD. Please, don't support this waste of money. Buy something worth your while. Thank You.

this is the easiest music creation software out ther, it's really cool, some of the samples are very lame, but if you download some samples and import them well then you can make some decent songs. the price is reasonable, so it's worth the money.

It is so fun, it can keep you occupied for hours. Beware! If you buy this, you will be attached to your computer for at least the next 10 days! Once you get going, there's no stopping. You can save your songs as MP3's and send them to your friends and put them on Napster. THOUSANDS of riffs you can mix and match to make your dreams song. There's also rapping and singing you can put it. The bottom line: BUY THIS!
