Voyeur Confessions is actually a very well made softcore video, and to some people, will be the best thing since sliced bread. I'm not one of those people. I recognize its quality, but it doesn't have the kind of things I usually look for in softcore. However, your mileage my vary.

Let's start with what I did like. There are some very well done, erotic sex scenes. Most of the scenes are as explicit as you can get in softcore. The final scene in the video is of the main character watching 2 girls/1 guy in the house next door while she masturbates herself with one of her telescope's support legs. It goes on for about 7 minutes and is as good as anything I've ever seen. There are three other scenes that I also considered real winners.

Unfortunately, those scenes are not typical of the majority of the video. Most scenes are filmed in "voyeur mode". That means that you're seeing things as they would appear through a black and white security camera or a web cam or if you were looking at someone through partially open window blinds. Some were still pretty good, but the whole time I'm thinking to myself, "Man, this would have been really great if it was filmed as a normal sex scene".

The other negative is that the movie presents its voyeurs too realistically. They all hate what they do. They realize it is an addiction, they give several examples of how it is ruining their lives, and they want to stop. This would be okay in a more serious movie, but it is out of place here. It's sort of like, if in the movie "Spiderman", that Peter Parker had reacted realistically to being bitten by a radioactive spider. You know... his skin starts falling off, his organs start shutting down, and he dies in a hospital bed somewhere. I don't think it would have been as popular.

This movie will be perfect for some people. But if you're like me, and want your softcore movies to just have brainless, non-stop sex, then you'll be a little disappointed with this one.

If you're the type of couple that looks around [competitor] for the best soft core porn available, look no further than Voyeur Confessions with Catalina Laranga. The director is top notch, the acting is actually present and the sex scenes are numerous, make sense and are intense. Some nice full back shots, some telescope views for realism and a bit of shaking here and there to make you feel you're actually the one peaking. A nice touch that wasn't overdone. If this one doesn't get you diving for each other's privates after the last scene, you're hopeless. Enjoy the tingling, pulsing and wet feeling you'll get glued to this one.

Voyeur Confessions is one of the most explicit soft core films I have ever seen. It has full frontal nudity for both sexes (although very briefly for the males). The simlated sex is very hot. Some gorgeous women are involved here and the males, thanfully, are not too bad either.

Sexual Magic is the weaker of the two in this combination, but it does have the energetic Amber Newman in it.

Voyeur: A person who derives sexual gratification from observing the naked bodies or sexual acts of others, especially from a secret vantage point.

Plot

Lisa Morrison, (Catalina Larranaga) an attractive Psychological research scientist studying voyeurism, gets caught up in the passions of her subjects. After getting permission from her boss to study voyeurism Lisa runs an add in the newspaper and gets three male volunteers, who have divergent reasons for participating. Dave feels that his voyeurism is making it impossible to be intimate or even social with women. Christopher is curious to find out about his motivations but is remorseless, saying what he does harms no one. Curiously, Steven is a Psychotherapist, whose compulsions have led to a series of failed relationships and feels that his present marriage is in danger.

Story

The film begins one evening in Lisa's apartment. After hearing a commotion outside, Lisa observes a couple fornicating on a lounge chair by the pool. Feeling turned on by the event, she wonders why some are compelled to spy onitheinudity and sexual moments of others for their sexual gratification. Being a scientist engaged in Psychological research she decides to do a study on voyeurism.

It doesn't hurt to look... or does it? Lisa Morrison is a beautiful researcher studying voyeurism. Why are some people compelled to spy on the erotic moments of others for their own sexual pleasure? Why does this compulsion threatenito overtake their lives? As her subjects reveal their stories, Lisa is increasingly turned oniby this dark obsession. However, when fantasy turns into a search for her own erotic voyeuristic opportunities, the line between her professional curiosity and private desire becomes dangerously blurred.

Erotica

Except for a couple scenes of Lisa with her boyfriend Kevin (who became estranged) and with her boss, plus the one scene with Steven and his wife at the research center, the remaining erotic scenes were those relayed by the three subjects to Lisa from memory. These memories were varied in degrees of excitement and some were quite compelling. Several different women were used for these scenes, which explains why there are so many women listed in the cast. There were no explicit views of sex but there were a couple explicit shots of woman's genitalia.

Conclusion

I thought Voyeur Confessions was an interesting new take on erotica, with a plot that, for a change, was more than fatuous. The cast was decent and so was the acting. I could see where the story was going but it didn't matter. Some of the scenes were highly erotic and some you couldn't even see what was going on. I didn't expect much from this film and I was pleasantly surprised. Final rating 3.8 stars.

If your purpose for watching this movie is erogenous, make sure you get the unrated version. I have checked the internet and all those available for purchase from the usual sources are R rated. I did find one vender in the UK that offered the unrated version. I rented my copy from Caf? DVD which seems to have a plethora of softcore titles available but with long waits on some titles.

This is one of a series of movies starring Catalina Larranaga playing the role of a woman doing a study of human sexual behavior.In this movie she does a study of voyeurism and tries to find out why some people like to peep at others having sex.People sit in front of Catalina and tell her all about the times they would peep at others sexual romps.Some of the sex scenes in this movie are in the form of flashbacks while people are telling Catalina about thier voyeuristic adventures.Even though this is a softcore film many of the sex scenes boarder on the hardcore and get very hot and heavy.While interviewing all these voyeurs Catalina tries to remain professional but she has a lot of sexual frustration in her life due to the fact that her and her boyfriend are apart a lot of the time.This frustration grows throughout the movie and Catalina starts to get involved with voyeurism herself.Catalina only has a few sex scenes throughout the whole film but they are intense and realistic.As the plot goes on you see Catalina get more and more interested in the act of voyeurism herself.The hottest part of this whole movie takes place in one of the last scenes.Catalina is home alone at night wearing only a white shirt and panties,she hears the people next door having sex and decides to watch them through her telescope at her window.While she watches through the telescope she gets so turned on that she masturbates.The hottest thing about this scene is that she not only touches herself but she also rubbs her private part against the telescope tripod leg to get herself off!Very very hot!If you get this movie for only one reason get it for this scene.This movie is not only filled with sex but also has a pretty good plot that makes you want to know what happens next.On a final note,make sure you get the UNRATED version of this movie because the R-rated version has all the sex taken out.If you are new to watching softcore films then my advice to you is to ALWAYS GET UNRATED MOVIES!!!Watching R-rated softcore porn is pointless.;)

Honestly, I purchased these titles because I'm a fan of RENEE REA. She plays a small part in the movie (a very small part... TOO SMALL!) That was a disappointment right off the bat.

Yet, Besides that, Voyeur Confessions actually turned out to be a decent movie, saved by CATALINA LARRANAGA. The movie and its scenes are actually very realistic. No scenes ruined with goofy elevator music here. Everything is very real, raw and sexy.

The scenes with CATALINA are actually some of the hottest scenes I've seen, and make the purchase worth while. Voyeur Confessions is far better than most of the ... movies that have been put out, because of its realism and the acting is better than average.

Yet, I only gave it three stars for two reasons: One, because Renee Rea wasn't in it enough. Two, the bonus DVD Sexual Magic was pretty weak. Maybe that's why their giving it away??

If you're a fan of CATALINA (which I am now), this purchase is worth while.

I can't say that this movie is a total waste of money. Catalina is definetly very hot stuff--the kind of woman a man with several graduate degrees would love to date. However, the other people in this movie are plain ugly (please keep your clothes on!). Sexual magic has a great masurbation scene at the beginning, but otherwise boring even at a very fast spead. Although I liked both movies, I could not keep myeslf from asking "What am I doing with my life wasting money on this stuff?"

I agree with the last reviewer, but I would like to add that all actors--other than Catlaina--should not only leave their clothes on, but should also put bags over their heads.
