Editorial Reviews

Ironically, Judas Priest's replacement lead singer, Tim Owens, sounds more like the original vocal Priest, Rob Halford, than Halford himself does on Voyeurs, the first record by his band Two, which features Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Discarding his piercing scream, Halford sings complete melodies that vary in tone from plaintive to mildly annoyed. What really defines Two, however, is Reznor's mechanical manipulations, which convert mainstream metal and alternative numbers into haunting, cybernetic vistas. When he's working with the band's best material, Voyeurs is electrifying, but when the band lapses into autopilot, even Reznor can't save Two from sounding like Stabbing Westward. --Jon Wiederhorn

5.0 out of 5 stars Metal God is on the Top., January 19, 2000

This CD is one of the best Halford realeses. It sounds like mixed (Manson, Fight,Orbital). It gives possibilities to find more modern sounds. The best example of non-traditional mixes. This CD is still very fresh and interesting for fans, proffessionals and all modern society. Enjoy it! Porokh

5.0 out of 5 stars Rob is the God Forever!, February 16, 2000
This review is from: Voyeurs (Audio CD)
When I first heard the song I Am A Pig on the radio two years ago, I was totally shocked when I found out it was Rob Halford on the vocals. I was a little skeptical as well. Eight months afer it's release I finally took a risk and went out and bought it. I played it now and then but it mostly sat on the shelf for the first two months. Then it just started growing on me. I now listen to it almost everyday! Voyeurs is now my ultimate favorite album of the 90's. Rob Halford writes such awesome lyrics it's unreal. Whenever I put this album on I put my thinking cap on as well. These are some of the best songs that Rob has ever written lyrically. They really make you think hard. Everytime out too I still find new meanings to these songs on Voyeurs. It's incredible! I love this album despite the fact that it isn't metal and that he doesn't use his famous high octane vocals. It doesn't matter to me how the man sings. He is awesome no matter what he sings! Rob Halford rules! Plain and simple! I am proud to say that I have been an ardent fan of Rob's for 15 years now and still counting! ALL HAIL THE METAL GOD ROB HALFORD!

Favorite songs on the disc include: Bed of Rust, Ceiling's Low, I am a Pig, Gimp and Wake Up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sounds awesome, November 11, 2005
This review is from: Voyeurs (Audio CD)
Sounds great with Rob's work mixed with Trents work. This album is great. The lyrics are straight to your face and heavy with a sort of industrial backbeat that carries the songs through. Pick this album up if you like Halford. He has yet, to record an album that is not worthy in my book.
