Metal God is on the Top.,

This CD is one of the best Halford realeses. It sounds like mixed (Manson, Fight,Orbital). It gives possibilities to find more modern sounds. The best example of non-traditional mixes. This CD is still very fresh and interesting for fans, proffessionals and all modern society. Enjoy it! Porokh

Rob is the God Forever!,

When I first heard the song I Am A Pig on the radio two years ago, I was totally shocked when I found out it was Rob Halford on the vocals. I was a little skeptical as well. Eight months afer it's release I finally took a risk and went out and bought it. I played it now and then but it mostly sat on the shelf for the first two months. Then it just started growing on me. I now listen to it almost everyday! Voyeurs is now my ultimate favorite album of the 90's. Rob Halford writes such awesome lyrics it's unreal. Whenever I put this album on I put my thinking cap on as well. These are some of the best songs that Rob has ever written lyrically. They really make you think hard. Everytime out too I still find new meanings to these songs on Voyeurs. It's incredible! I love this album despite the fact that it isn't metal and that he doesn't use his famous high octane vocals. It doesn't matter to me how the man sings. He is awesome no matter what he sings! Rob Halford rules! Plain and simple! I am proud to say that I have been an ardent fan of Rob's for 15 years now and still counting! ALL HAIL THE METAL GOD ROB HALFORD! Favorite songs on the disc include: Bed of Rust, Ceiling's Low, I am a Pig, Gimp and Wake Up.

Sounds awesome,

Sounds great with Rob's work mixed with Trents work. This album is great. The lyrics are straight to your face and heavy with a sort of industrial backbeat that carries the songs through. Pick this album up if you like Halford. He has yet, to record an album that is not worthy in my book.

Interesting mix of techno and distilled heavy metal.,
This review is from: Voyeurs (Audio CD)
I've grown up listening to Judas Priest and rate Rob Halford as one of the finest classical heavy metal singers. This album is an interesting experiment of Techno and distilled Heavy Metal. While not as heavy as the Priest's `Defenders of the Faith' or `Pain Killer' or what Rob did with Fight - `War of Words', its definitely worth listening to. `ONE UP' to Halford for deviating from the norm and trying something new out. You got to listen to it a couple of times for it to strike you that its actually Halford. Ha!ha! No high pitched screams but still check it out...........

Because of the times....,

Honestly, when you look at the face of metal at this period of time things were very bleak. Metallica had sold out, MegaDeth was in the hunt for a #1 record, Pantera was about to put out their worst and final album and the metal god himself made this terrible effort. What more can you really say other than the metal scene at the time was in its most fragile state.
The album doesn't entirely suck. For those of whom that have an ability to listen to several different styles and appreciate them for what they are; there are a couple songs on this album that are not too bad. The opening track is probably one of the better ones on the album. "Leave Me Alone" and "Gimp" are listenable tracks, however "Deep In The Ground" and "Wake Up" are pretty much pop songs with distorted guitars. The album is background music at a strip club at best. With bands at the time of this release like KoRn and Limp Bizkit being the popular bands in the "metal" scene, it's not too much of a surprise to see Halford make this lapse in judgement. For those of whom that like the idea of heavy music with some electronic elements added, they might want to check out the album The Grudge by Mortiis; that is an album that did what this may have intended to do but did it correctly. Luckily, however, Halford released his the Resurrection album a few years after this and earned his metal god status back.

Not Judas Priest, But Give it a Chance,
By
This review is from: Voyeurs (Audio CD)
Here's something I found strange. We have Rob Halford, the famous frontman of Judas Priest in a band called Two. He's signed to Trent Reznor's record label "Nothing." His guitar player is John Lowery who once played with David Lee Roth (on the album "DLR Band") and then Marilyn Manson (as John5). Oh and his voice is almost unrecognizable. That's a complaint I see frequently in the reviews for this album and I want to say...Halford has always been pretty good at changing what his voice sounds like. Listen to the songs "Hellbent for Leather," "Breaking the Law," and "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" and listen to how different his voice sounds in each song. Well, anyways...This album, to me, sounded like Nine Inch Nails material (without the main topic of "sex") as far as music, and occasionally lyrically it did too. That combined with Lowery's ace guitar playing and Halford's sometimes creepy vocals make this album a little different than other material you've previously heard but just as good. Don't hesitate to listen to this album or even buy it for that matter. This CD is awesome.
1. I Am a Pig-5/5-The vocals don't sound that much like Rob Halford, this song is awesome. The song is pretty catchy and his voice does sound good. The beat is very cool as well. 2. Stutter Kiss-4/5-This song is pretty good, but could've been shorter. 3. Water's Leaking-5/5-This song is awesome. Halford sings some of the lines in a way that struck me as annoying, but looking past that... 4. My Ceiling's Low-5/5-Despite the strange title, this song is great. 5. Leave Me Alone-5/5-Another good song. Certain lyrics seem to pertain to the fact that he's gay. And if I'm not mistaken, he did come out just around the time this album came out. 6. If-5/5-Slower than the previous songs but very cool. 7. Deep in the Ground-5/5-One of the best songs on the album. The keyboards and sythesizers on this song are really good. 8. Hey, Sha La La-5/5-This song is extremely catchy. 9. Wake Up-5/5-Sounds a bit like some of the other songs on the album, but it's still good. 10. Gimp-5/5-I find the title ironic (you might as well if you've ever seen "Pulp Fiction) but the song's good. 11. Bed of Rust-5/5-Another really good song. The atmosphere of it is perfect. A

Great, great CD ( Wish Rob and Trent would collaborate again). Bought it for "I Am A Pig" and was pleased that the rest was just as good. Fans of Metal/Industrial/Darkwave will enjoy this work.

Of course Halford is God, but you guys must be kidding,

Is every review on this website some kind of homage to the artist? I am a Priest fan and I've got the tattoos to prove it, so of course I bought this alum as soon as it was released. The nasal, whiney and complaining sound of this album killed me. If you follow Halford at all, go to his website and you'll see that he was not happy with this album and at one point was even offering pre-Reznor mixes of half the songs on the album. I swore I'd never buy another Halford album after this and the second Fight album... but wait: Resurrection is coming and I may have to change my tune.

It's not supposed to be Nine Inch Nails or Judas Priest...,
By A Customer
This review is from: Voyeurs (Audio CD)
Two's Voyeurs has struck me as a serious, though often failed, foray into new territory for NWOBHM's master vocalist. It's not Judas Priest and it's not Nine Inch Nails; thankfully, I don't think that was ever the idea. The lyrics range from creepy to outlandishly stupid. However, Halford and company hit some high marks. The first three tracks are fairly catchy, though "I Am a Pig" and "Leave Me Alone" have some laughable lyrics. "Stutter Kiss" is killer -- epic, and better than anything Priest has put out in recent memory. The first half of the album attempts to keep up appearances and keep up the maniacal image established by Al, Trent, and Alec. However, Halford did a more convincing job of this on ultimate Priest-cheese like "Night Crawler." As Voyeurs drifts into "Down in the Ground," the poorly assumed S/M veil of the first six tracks gives way to good, grinding, electronica-inflected, melodic songs...bordering on pop. On "Down in the Ground" and "Hey Sha-La-La," Two find a suitable pairing of "Hell Bent for Leather" and "Kinda I Want To," without sounding like Priest or Nails. I'd recommend the CD to those who want a Two album, not another Judas Priest or Nine Inch Nails album. Such listeners ought not to mind a little experimentation -- even if it runs off the cheese meter now and again. If you'd like another Judas Priest album, I submit to you the near-artifact "Demolition," where Priest try to be something they're not with a singer whose vocals merely ape those of the greatest heavy metal voice of them all.

GREAT ALETERNATIVE/INDUSTRIAL ALBUM,
By
This review is from: Voyeurs (Audio CD)
One thing has to be clear for any Priest fan or Fight fan looking into this album simply because Rob Halford was who he used to be in the Metal Hey Day. Rob has jumped into more of an Inudstrial (Trent Reznor) kind of sound. The album is great if you're into industrial or like stuff like NIN, Manson etc. If your looking for metal I would look elsewhere (althoug this album is NOT pop or techno! Well let me repeat that....this is not TECHNO!
