Gr 1-6--Press begins with a two-page introduction, a page of safety measures, and a listing of materials that can be recycled into crafts. The projects themselves are organized under general headings such as "To the Rescue" (making an ambulance, fire engine, etc.) and "In the Water" (a sailboat, a Viking ship). Wheel symbols indicate the degree of difficulty for each craft. Black-and-white cartoon illustrations accompany the step-by-step directions. Most projects also contain either a quote, a short fact, or a heading called "Now Try This," which lists other activities related to the specific project. Jam-packed with ideas, this book will be enjoyed by both craft and transportation enthusiasts.

Great for children with an imagination,
By A Customer
This review is from: Vroom! Vroom!: Making 'Dozers, 'Copters, Trucks & More (Williamson Little Hands Book) (Paperback)
This book is wonderful for children with an imagination! There is tremendous satisfaction in creating things from everyday items around the house. It encourages "recycling" of "useful" items. Depending on the age there is some adult supervision required but most of it is individual work which gives an even greater sense of accomplishment for young children.
