Editorial Reviews

Swami Records boss, Hot Snakes guitarist, Rocket From The Crypt frontman, and Drive Like Jehu axeman John Reis writes: "This guy is more talented than a thousand talent dudes. Blowing out of Birmingham, Alabama on a fierce wind, Dan specialises in playing his heart out. His smooth voice entrances the listener and catapults even the unsuspecting into a journey of inner space. On this voyage you are shrunk to microscopic proportions as Master Sartains' music permeates the speakers. Smaller and smaller, until the threads of the DNA of Rock n' Roll appear as giant redwoods Dan Sartain is a one-man hurricane."

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, May 14, 2004

This cd is amazing. A nice blend of Rev. Horton Heat/Johnny Cash/Hank Williams. I could totally hear these songs on a Tarantino soundtrack. Love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Most Creative Title Ever., November 21, 2003
Wow. This album is amazing. On the recomendation of John Riese (Rocket From the Crypt, Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, and owner of Swami Records) I saw Mr. Dan Sartain at in-store in San Diego. I was blow away, this guy is amazing! I picked up his CD that night and now several months later I still cant stop spining it. Everything on this album is perfect. From PBC 98's punked out guitars to "A Place to Call My Home" wich seems to come strate off a Jonathan Richman album. Dan reminds me of Richard Hell, or the Voidides fronted by Jonathan Richman, or Buddy Holly had he been a Punk. Evey tune is perfect. If your reading this review, go now and buy this album. Its worth it, i'm not joking you. This guy rules!
