This phone is amazing. She recently got it on Christmas from my mother-in-law and she LOVES it! The day after Christmas, we took a 3-hour road trip to visit more family and the phone kept my 16 month old occupied for the entire THREE HOUR road trip! And she is in that phase where she gets bored of things VERY easily so I was amazed when this phone kept her occupied for the entire time.PROS: Just big enough for babies hands Buttons aren't too hard to press How many "modes" are there? Too many for me to count! Colorful Voice is easy to understand (doesn't sound like a talking-computer!) Lights up Teaches colors, numbers, plays music, "talks" to baby, rings like a phone... Has mirror to play "peak-a-boo" (one of my daughters favorites) SO STURDY! My little girl is very rough with her toys and this one, although new, has already been dropped MANY times and is still working perfectly! The plastic is VERY hard and durable and everything seems to be made extrememly well- none of the buttons have "shifted" or poped out, the plastic doesn't chip, the music and everything still plays perfectly! But most importantly... my daughter LOVES it! I have a feeling this one will be around for a while. CONS Hmm.... none! I just wish I'd found it sooner! :-P I highly recommend this toy to anyone!

This phone is soooo cool! We got it for our 9 month old daughter and she loves it! Every time we give it to her she laughs out loud forever! I couldn't get over how articulate and clear the sounds, voices, and words are. Blue, red, yellow, numbers, etc. They are all spoken perfectly and not slurred or mumbled. I just wouldn't believe how far toys have come! The mirror in the phone is not one of the plastic, blurry ones. However, it is very safe inside its plastic shell. This phone has been dropped a lot and its still going strong! Very cool toy! I would definetly buy/recommend this phone again!

Great toy,

Unlike many other toys, this was an instant hit with my then 7 months old son. I think the advantage was that this phone could be easily manipulated by little clumsy hands into making the sounds and the lights go on. In other words, it doesn't require much precision, concentration or strenght in a child's fingers to make it sing and light up because of the big buttons. Now he is 8 months old and he enjoys it even more. It is a little bit bulky and heavy but my son can hold it ok. It's also been dropped and banged many many times with no damage so far. One of the best buys so far. The batteries lasted about a month or a month and a half.

When we were trying to find a good phone for our daughter, my hubby was the one who actually fell in love with it in the store. My daughter is now 19 months old, and was just sitting there playing with it for almost half an hour, so I decided to write a review. We got it for her when she was around 7 months. So, I had put it in the toy box with the other "Baby" toys, she found it, and is falling in love with it all over again. So spend the $13 and let you little one have some fun pushing the same button over and over and over.........LOL. As mine does.

This is a wonderful toy phone. I bought it for my 6 month old son, it was his favorite toy. He's 9 months old now and he still plays with it. It's a very durable phone, he's done about everything to it and it still works great. He takes it everywhere we go! He loves the music and the flashing lights. I wish it was a little more educational, but it keeps him happy. If your child is interested in the tv remote or your home phone, I would get this phone!! He stopped playing with mommy and daddys phone after he got his own.

This is one of the coolest phone toys we've seen! We got this at babies r' us when our daughter was 9 months old, and she really enjoyed the lights and sounds! Unfortunately, the buttons and phone were a bit big for her (she's towards the petite size for her age, admittedly) and she couldn't press any of them by herself until recently. She's nearly a year old now and still has some trouble with the buttons, but loves to play with the little dials on the bottom end. She always smiles when this toy comes out--and she's dropped and banged it numerous times and it's remained undamaged.

I bought this phone for my infant room at my Daycare. My children LOVE THIS PHONE!!! As soon as they saw it, they started playing with it and they haven't put it down yet!! We all know that children around 7 months and up LOVE playing with phones and pretending to talk on them...we have several different types of phones in our room and this is their favorite! They love to press the green button (which is the only down side, because it's a little hard to press and I have to do it most of the time!), and hear all the buttons change what they say. I really enjoy it, as a teacher, and the children also enjoy it. I highly recommend this toy to anyone with a baby.

One of the Greatest Toys,

Our daughter, like probably 99.997% of children, is fixated with our phones be it cordless or mobile. Of course the danger of playing with the real thing ranges from damaging the phone to expensive bills for unintended phone calls to Kathmandu. Fortunately, after reading some of the other bills we bought this Vtech kids phone. It is one of the favorite toys for our daughter. It has 2 modes (talking and music) and 2 volume levels (usually we have it set on the lower). The buttons will emit sounds that she sometimes tries to imitate or music in the music mode. She has a great time pushing the different buttons or switches and getting a response and then alternatively holding it up to her hear like a real phone. With plenty of toys that elicit hardly a response, this one is a real winner and one of the few that I would heartily recommend.

Okay this is one of several phones we have and is still being played with and has held up great. Good learning also. Our version is a little different...I like the new version also; sure it is just as durable and learning fun.

This telephone is full of bright colors and cute sounds such as the sound of a frog, a bee buzzing, and a duck quacking. It has a lot of different sounds it can make with each setting. My 9 1/2 month old daughter doesn't seem to care about what it says, she just likes the bright lights and the animal sounds. She also likes to look at herself in the mirror. The only thing that I do not like about this phone is that the volume control stinks. Low volume is loud and high volume is even louder. Other than that she has tossed it and banged it and nothing has happened-YET.
