Works great! I use with Directv receiver and get over 165 channels perfectly in all 48 states. Can not receive HD packages with this unit. Will need a waiver from FCC to receive local channels very easy to apply for thru Directv RV services division. During heavy rain may loose signal accasionally, but only for very short period while storm clouds pass.

i received my vu qube about 2 weeks ago,fairly easy to install,i purchased the no drill bracket to mount it on.it is easy to locate the satellite with remote,i have direct tv so there is only 1 sat. to mess with.a booklet comes with the unit that tells you your elevation from where you are,then you just scan toward the southern sky until you run into the satellite.you have your signal meter on the tv screen as your scanning so when you hit it your signal meter will let you know.now the bad news,after 1 week the scanning from right to left quit working and had to send it back to king controls.technical support were nice and they emailed me a ups mailing label that i printed out so shipping did'nt cost me anything.they are either going to send a new one once they have received this one or replace the part that malfunctioned.very dissapointed it broke after 1 week but i like having sat.tv on the road.hopefully this was just one of those things and not something that is going to be a pain in the you know what.one other thing is don't expect to get network channels [abc cbs,nbc,fox]by just adding a receiver to your home satellite setup for $5.00.to get the networks you have to put in a waiver and sign up for your own new account which is going to cost you like a regular monthly programing bill.maybe during football season i may change my mind but for now i am just adding a receiver to my home subscription for $5.00 a month.

I've had this item for 8 months now and I absolutely love it. It sits on top of my Semi and works in every state in the lower 48. I'm always able to find signal. It does lose signal (like most satellite dish products) during heavy storm activity. Nice to have TV on the road. I use it with Direct TV..

This product did not work for me. If you are 20 feet away the remote dose not connect with the QuQbe. I purchased this to use with my RV and had no sucess. I tried it at home and had no sucess ther either.

This was the second one I bought, both suffered from the same problem, it would not rotate all the way around and would give a false reading on the remote.
Also this one was the v10 which is supposed to be the truck version but the only difference between
The v1000 was no carry handle and no rubber feet,(I had both) also the v10 is more expensive!!

I returned both and went with the winegard minimax have it mounted on the roof of my semi for 3 weeks now and it has exceeded my expectations .

Had some major problems with elevation control. They repaired it, then it stopped rotating entirely. They eventually replaced the unit. I absolutely love this unit now that it's been working properly for several months. I don't have the kind of mirrors that I can mount a dish to, and trying to line up a pole mount on the back of the cab was a nightmare. I get this lined up in a minute or two. Fantastic. I'm holding back a star for now as I'm not sure yet if this unit is rugged enough to withstand the constant jarring of being on a semi. Fingers crossed.
