5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Toy for Baby
Pie, is the little pink critter in our collection, and our 5 month old absolutely loves it. The natural rubber used to construct this toy is very soft, making it a tactile delight for baby, squishy and squeezable for little hands. Our daughter happily gums Pie's "horns" and "feet" as well as its cheeks. This toy is replete with a squeaker, which our daughter delights...

3.0 out of 5 stars OK - but Sophie is better!
I bought this after buying Sophie the Giraffe from the same company. My daughter chews on Sophie like crazy. Sophie is such a great teething toy. But when my daughter puts Sophie's leg in her mouth, sometimes she pokes her eye with another leg, so I thought this toy would be eliminate the poking. My daughter will chew on it, but it just doesn't fit in her mouth like Sophie's legs and head, and she tosses it aside quickly. If you are going to buy a rubber teething toy, Sophie is a better buy.

**EDIT**
Updating! My 9 month old now prefers this teether over Sophie! About a month ago she made the switch and now really prefers this over the giraffe.

Bottom line: These rubber toys are great teethers.

Our daughter happily gums Pie's "horns" and "feet" as well as its cheeks. This toy is replete with a squeaker, which our daughter delights in when it does sound off. Fortunately for us, the toy is not so sensitive that it squeaks constantly, just enough for the baby to enjoy. Pie is the perfect size for tiny hands, not too big or too small, and very light, so when little arms go flying, no one gets hurt, and there are no sharp edges to pain baby's gums, because eventually all parts of Pie make it to her mouth. I recommend this adorable toy to anyone looking for something unusual and fun that will attract and maintain baby's interest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little teether - and darling ta boot!, January 26, 2011
This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Soft Chew Toy, Pink (Baby Product)
Length:: 0:59 Mins

Here is a video of my 5 month old playing with Pie - I went with this over Sophie the Giraffe because of all the stories I heard about babies chokeing on Sophie's Legs.

This toy is sooo soft, baby gets her hands on it and pops the little horns right into her mouth. She loves the squeaking, fortunatly, it doesn't squeak so much when baby plays with it but in the hands of my 5 yr old son it can get pretty annoying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Baby loves how Pie squeaks and squishes, February 20, 2009
This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Soft Chew Toy, Pink (Baby Product)
Baby loves this toy - not so much as a teether (yet) but something to squeeze and bang against other things. It has a squeaker in it (think dog toy) and she loves the noises it makes. As far as the other customer's comment about dirty - it's natural rubber so it picks up dust very easily. Just give it a quick soapy rinse (plug the air hole with your finger) and it's squeaky clean. Baby loves this and other Vulli - especially Sophie the Giraffe and the Frog teether. We love this toy. As I type this baby is in my lap and she's smiling and cooing at Pie's photo.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Concept but Poorly Constructed, November 10, 2011
This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Soft Chew Toy, Pink (Baby Product)
I bought this for my daughter because she loves Sophie the Giraffe so much. This toy actually squeaks better than Sophie and she likes that. As far as chewability it is not quite as good as Sophie. She chews on the feet and nubs but not as vigorously as the giraffe legs that she loves so much. The reason I gave this a 2 star rating is that after less than a month the rubber has started to peel off. It is coming off in strips around the feet and ear nubs. It doesnt seem safe so I dont let her play with it anymore. It is very disappointing because I expected the same quality as the Sophie the Giraffe product but this doesnt seem as well made. If it hadn't been for the rubber peeling I would rate it 4 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love/hate relationship, June 12, 2011
This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Soft Chew Toy, Pink (Baby Product)
I was planning on buying Sophie as my 4 month old girl's first teether, but this was so cute and different, I went for it instead. She has a love/hate relationship with it. I never knew babies could have such a complicated relationship with a toy. Sometimes she finds the squeaking hilarious and is totally engaged. Other times, it completely appalls her. There's no telling when she'll like it and when she won't, so I get it out often, and after I've shooed the dogs away, give it a go.

If you do have dogs, make sure to keep this out of their reach always. I know if mine got a hold of it, it would be destroyed in seconds because of the thin rubber. Not that the thin rubber is a bad thing, since it's hollow, it makes it very easy for our girl to hold, when she's in the mood.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved by the whole family!, May 31, 2011
This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Soft Chew Toy, Pink (Baby Product)
I purchased this for my 6 mo old granddaughter. She loves it...in fact, it is one of her favorite toys. She chews on it, squeezes it, rubs her face against it...it is the perfect size for her tiny, little hands. Plus, the sound makes her giggle! In fact, it is so much fun, the entire family loves playing with it! I am ready to purchase the yellow Vulli Chan Pie Gnon and also Sophie the Giraffe since I now know exactly how these toys feel! Thanks for a winner!

2.0 out of 5 stars It's hollow, April 16, 2011
This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Soft Chew Toy, Pink (Baby Product)
I guess I was expecting it be squishy & chewy.. but it's completely hollow. It's very cute but it's dull colors don't get my baby's attention. The squeaker is loud. It sounds and feels exactly like a dog toy.. which wouldn't bother me if my daughter actually liked it. She'll try to teeth on it but within the first few seconds loses interest. She's 3mths old right now, I hope she will like this little mushroom when she is a little older but it sure is boring... oh and it's expensive for what it is.

My 1yr old LOVES pie - softer and easier to squeak than Sophie (which she also likes a lot) the cheeks, feet and horns are great for chewing on, and it has a nice comforting natural rubber smell. She has had it since she was 6 months old and along with Sophie and anything wooden by Haba its still in daily use.
