4.0 out of 5 stars Obnoxiously squeaking little look-alike...the baby loves it
Not to put too fine a point on it, the top of this little guy's head is pretty much a nipple. I guess it is designed that way and my son (4 months) loves it. Chowing down on it seems to be his favorite activity when not screaming at his parents to be picked up and held.

3.0 out of 5 stars I like it more than my daughter does
I like the non-toxic soft squeaky toy, but my duaghter is not very interested. She likes Sofie better, but honestly she likes the old toxic plastic toys the best. Go figure.

The squeaker in the dude is very loud. And you may think you have heard loud, but this is truly Olympic-class loud. Just gumming down on the nipple-head produces a squeak that can be heard across the street. This will affect your baby in three stages: stage one - fright, stage two - curiosity, stage three - complete fascination in the reaction it gets from the parent. Extricating the squeaker is no mean feat, but it can probably be muted somewhat by multiple dunks in the bathtub. Overall, great (and safe) for baby, amusing for parents, until it becomes infuriating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Although it sqeaks, January 20, 2012

This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Natural Rubber Teether - Blue Chan (Baby Product)
First off - my baby boy loves this teether! he has had it for a month now and he is 10 months old with upper canines coming in. I had seen this little guy before and thought it looked a little odd. Then when baby boy seemed to be searching for objects to knaw, shaped like the nub on Chan Pie Gnon's head, I realized I had to try it out to prevent unsafe chewing.

Pros
- perfect shape for front teeth teething
- no odor
- natural rubber
- good size
- makes several different sqeaking sounds depending on how he is squeezed
- easy to clean
- helps teach object permenance (hide Chan behind you and make him sqeak~ then ask baby where he is... fun game for baby)

cons
- it sqeaks- not crazy annoying but still....
- seems a little pricy to me, but if it makes baby happy when those teeth are a bother, it's so worth the price

5.0 out of 5 stars Nipple Head Man!, August 19, 2011

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Natural Rubber Teether - Blue Chan (Baby Product)
I got Chan (aka Nipple Head Man) as a pair with Sophie. We have two small dogs and as soon as the heard the squeaker on these toys they went nuts - and continued to do so for the next week. They have since recognized the noise to be from something that they are not allowed to have - and our dogs are usually troublemakers, so this came as a surprise to us.

We absolutely love Chan. Love love love! He goes with us everywhere. Our baby girl has been playing with Chan for as long as she could wrap her fingers around him, which was around 2 mos. The neck is just the right size for little ones to grab a hold of and then promptly stick into their mouth, even for not-quite-coordinated hands. Our girl loves sucking on the top of his head and uses him as a sort of nuki. At 5 1/2 mos she has been learning how to get him to squeak by pounding him on the ground in front of her. Yea, the squeak can get annoying but it is amazing to watch as she learns how to make something work.

We also have Sophie, and while she is more attractive, she also has a lot more pokey parts and long limbs that go way back in the mouth and make our baby's eyes tear up.

5.0 out of 5 stars great teether, softer than Sophie, May 30, 2010

This review is from: Vulli Chan Pie Gnon Natural Rubber Teether - Blue Chan (Baby Product)
I showed it to my 4 1/2 months old girl who is currently - early enough - getting her first teeth. Chan is easy to grab so she was able to put it right into her mouth and chewed on it like crazy.
The other teethers were frustrating for her - most are too hard for chewing and most are too hard to hold - this one is just perfect for her.
The soft rubber of Chan makes it well suited for younger babies - it is easier to hold, easier to squeak and easier to chew on than Sophie. I think Sophie the Giraffe is more like a toy while Chan is more like a teether, but both are our girls favorite toys.

Which of these 3 guys would i chose? Well, my baby loves the blue 'hat' of Chan (or how would you call that part in a review?) - so I would recommend buying Chan!

I bought this for my son who sticks everything in his mouth. He likes it well enough, but isn't really interested in the knob on top. It's just not long enough to really let him chew on it. He somehow manages to chew on the underside of the head, which makes the toy squeak. It used to drive our dog mad, but she's learned that the baby's toys are the baby's toys. (Plus, we don't let him touch hers.) All around it's a good teether and easy for him to hold.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ehhh....Update!, February 15, 2009
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

I think my dog likes it more than my daughter. It has a squeaker that's a bit obnoxious. Our daughter is 6 months and putting everything in her mouth. I thought she'd love it but it's a no go as of now. We'll try again later I guess. I just have to hide it from the dog!

UPDATE! We tried it again and she loves it at 7 months. We'll put a bunch of toys in front of her and she will go for this one - she loves the squeaker and gnaws on it like crazy.... But we still have to hide it from the dog :)

By far a favorite. My son loves it! He even likes it better than Sophie the giraffe. :) He instantly smiles when he sees this thing.

I keep kid toys as natural and non-toxic as I can so this was great for that. I just don't think a little squeaky toy that won't be used for long should cost so much.

It's definitely cute, my teething baby loved it because top reminds her of nipple. However, I have to give it 4 stars because it's very sensitive to touch and squeaks to the lightest touch.
