2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing February 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
This product did not live up to expectations.

First off the image was not nearly as big as I had expected based on their promise of
being like a 56" monitor at 10'. It may be technically correct but did not feel like it.

Secondly it only works with applications that support the Apple TV Out adapter,
which as far as I could find out is only the the iPod application and youtube.

All in all not worth the money for me, so I returned it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, bad design August 29, 2011
By Tip DS
I got this as a gift, and the thought was much appreciated.

This unit, as I've read since getting it, is plagued with problems. The worst are the dark spots in the video. Most users see fine on part of the screen, but see dark areas, because of the angle. Their technical support suggest moving the glasses around to see the different parts of the screen!!

Also, there is no adjustment for width between eyes. That mean, unless your eyes are seperated by exactly the distance they designed the unit for, you will have eye strain and/or see double images. (like looking at something cross-eyed.) In my reading, it seems many-to-most folks have this issue. Technical support suggests there is nothing that can be done about this issue.

I would not buy this item, not at any price. If they could fix the deficiencies, it would be a great item.

1.0 out of 5 stars Better off buying Rayban's, don't buy. September 6, 2011

After purchasing the "Vuzix Wrap 310XL Widescreen Video Iwear Eyewear Glasses" you can't help but feeling ripped off. We though that this would be a cool alternative to an LCD screen at an event, though the glasses lacked depth and after plugging them into the iPhone to get the video, the projected video actually seemed as if you were looking at a screen even SMALLER than the iPhone screen (if that's even possible). You're better off showing a video on a TV, PC monitor or if you haven't space to move, you should look at purchasing either a tablet or a smart phone.

NOT worth they buy...unless you pay $30 for them not the $300 odd we paid.

HOPFULLY you're not reading this after you purchased them...The silver lining is that the manufacturer actually sells these for almost $700 (+ postage is extra) a pop, making me feel better about spending almost $300.
