As good as WATG's previous effort, Captors was, I have been anxiously anticipating how awesome this album would be ever since I first heard about it a few weeks ago. Now the day has come and my expectations were met and exceeded with this album! Every song was awesome and the vocals are off the charts! I love the passion for Jesus Christ that these guys display in every track. The production on VxV is also impeccable. If you are a Rock or metal fan, Christian or not, this album is a must have.

This is may be the best album I have ever heard! WATG sound has improved with each album. More mature and polished sound than previous albums, but still heavy and edgy. They do such a great job of mixing the clean vocals with the screaming and the lyrics are woven amazingly into the songs. What I love about WATG (besides their awesome message combined with epic music) is that they are rock enough for a rock fan but true enough to metal core that metal core fans can love it too. This is a great album that does not have one song that isn't amazing. This should be the top album this year for rock!!! Great album with a great message!

Love this band, never thought they could release anything better than Captors. They've managed to keep the same hard sound and vocals but took it to a completely new level, praising God at the same time.

Great job WATG.

Wolves at the Gate undeniably showed their ability on the previous album Captors, but the band has taken things up a notch and delivered an incredible album with VxV. The album is a heavier record than Captors, bringing to the table a sound that rivals the best bands in the genre, but its still recognizably Wolves.

The songs are dynamic, passionate and powerful. Interspersed through the album are clips of preaching or bible readings (see Relief) that really add to the impact of the songs. The lyrics are inspired and the gospel message really comes across.

This album has more screaming compared to their first one which normally is a turn off for me but the passion they put into this album is undeniable. I have it on repeat for working out.

Once again, Amazing, God-glorifying stuff from WATG! Definitely not a let down from the previous album. These guys continue to pump out some great songs

It's still early in my listening journey of this album, but "East to west", "the father's bargain" and "the bird and the snake" already stand out to me. You won't be disappointed.

This album is awesome! Like in Captors they do a great job incorporating biblical themes and imagery into their lyrics. The liner notes actually tell you which Bible verses the inspiration for each song came from. They've also progressed musically, I think most noticeably with Steve contributing screams at certain points. I actually wouldn't have thought this possible, but additionally Nick improves on his vocals from the last album. It's not the same sound as Captors, but it still feels like Wolves at the Gate to me.
