Serrated edge knives actually never need to be sharpened. The way the blades are made, the part that needs to stay sharp never hits a cutting surface so it should not ever go dull. Using a serrated edge knife on the 2904-7 knife sharpener would damage it, so I do not recommend trying it.

The fine ceramic side will hone your blade. With that said, it does take a little steel off the knife so a steel is prefered. But if you are looking for ease of use the ceramic side should hone you knives nicely.
