Sick...Twiztid.....And Wicked...!!!!!,
By
This review is from: W.I.C.K.E.D (Audio CD)
This is definitely an anticipated CD for the juggalos! It starts with a poem by Jamie Madrox, called "W.I.C.K.E.D", then goes into some fresh ass chanting! "Kill With Us" is sort of incoherent at first, then Jamie releases some fresh ass torture mantra, then it erupts into this rock/thrash metal show, begging not to be killed, because he has done so. It's an okay track, but you have to listen to what he's saying. "Buckets Of Blood" is just a straight massacre!, the cartoon is freaky, especially on weed...LOL! Monoxide has some great verses on here, as well. "HA Ha Ha Ha Ha HA" It's about a ninja goin' crazy and just contemplating just killin mutha fackos! They just do some crazy things with dead bodies, would be a good premise for a short story too. The video for this song is just sick! (In a good way).
"Death Note" almost starts like a horror flick, with some girl getting shanked! However, even with the funky beat, there is some deep messages in this cut! I mean, it makes you reflect on your life, because just never know. "Krossroads Inn" is extremely deep! I mean it is sort of like dealing with conflicts in your life, no? It's like choosing between good and evil, but once the choice is made, there is no turning back. "All Of The Above" is another prolific song, I mean it's about Twiztid dying and their loved ones are just praying for their soul and they are contemplating what they have done in their lives and watching their homies reflect on their lives. "Killing Season" tells the life of a serial killer. Even from birth, this crazy dude, just is angry, and his answer is to just kill folks, creepy! "Whoop Whoop" is another juggalo family song. Sit around the campfire at GOTJ with this one folks! Be a serial killa! Stop the hating and start congratulating! "That's Wicked" goes into the crazy shit we do and/or think about, feeling like going insane and just killin and slicing mutha fackos! "They Told Me" is going into yourself and not caring about anyone else's shit. You gotta handle business. "My Enemies" is a psycho jam, however the guitar kind of goes over the song, so it's a little difficult to hear it, but I feel it is about transferring pain and woe to enemies. "Bella Morte" means beautiful death, which means to accept death as it comes. In this case, Bella Morte is a woman who is making them crazy. I know that love is a crazy thing and makes us do crazy things, perhaps this is what they are referring to. The hook on the chorus is phat! The guitar is fucking amazing! The graveyard imagery is just insane, this song is well done! "When I Get To Hell" can be sort of an admiration song, so to speak. I mean, they make reference to Heath Ledger, David Berkowitz, Napoleon, and Satan, so this is like working your way to the upper echelon on the underworld, very creative. "Woe Woe" has Twiztid approaching the flood gates, they start to get all Pink Floyd and shit. I mean, the song has a real mellow tone. This is a very poetic song, dealing with seeing things in your life and feeling that you have fucked up too bad to fix things. This song reminds me a lot of 'Withered' by Dark Lotus, very dark, deep, and in a way, beautiful. (This song is my favorite on the CD). I actually picked up the Extra Songs version, so the review continues, "Catch The Show" is all about us as juggalos checking out our boys Twiztid, ICP, BoonDox, Blaze, ABK and all the family at the show and smoking and just hanging out with family. I mean I have seen Twiztid quite a few times and it is always a chill time for sure! They are definitely on point on what we do, it's always a party! "Gothic Chick" is another deep ass song. (I like them as well) She is a hot ass woman, who is down with family, getting freaky and not caring about no one's opinion! Falling in love, without reciprocation, would it be any other way for juggalos? "It Don't Stop" is a bitter sweet ending to this collection of morbid tales from Twiztid. This jam is all about moving on with life, no matter what obstacles we have come to in life. We all have dreams, ideas, and goals and we do our best to attain them, but even if things sems dire, that should never stop us from moving forward. We let any obstacles be stepping stone to get us where we have to be. This is definitely a great way to end the CD. If you love horror movies, you will love this CD, it is sick, demented, and twisted. If you're angry, despondent, or enraged, this is definitely the Cd to bump to. This is a CD that I know Twiztid has worked very hard to complete and unless you're a juggalo or down with Twiztid, this is a CD that is not for everyone and dare I say, not as good as Independent's Day (hence the 4 stars), but I will say that if you are gonna cop it, get the version with the extra songs, because I think there is something in this CD for any of us to enjoy.

Pretty Good Album by Twiztid,
This review is from: W.I.C.K.E.D (Audio CD)
I recently got a chance to listen to this album and I must say I am impressed. I've been listening to Psychopathic since 1999, and I've seen the quality of Psychopathic albums go down (well Insane Clown Posse's anyway.) I was a little hesitant to listen to this album after hearing the song "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha" which I did not care for at all. I decided to give it a chance anyway and found some really good tracks. The song "It Don't Stop" is by far the best song on this album. It's got an awesome beat and really good lyrics, and Monoxide has really good lyrics, (in my opinion his lyrics on this song is way better than Madrox's).
These tracks might not be in the right order because I'm reading them off my windows media player. 1.Gothic Chick 8/10 This is an interesting song. It's got a pretty cool beat too. 2.It Don't Stop 10/10 Like I said the best track on this album. Really good lyrics and beat. 3.Killing Season 4/10 I wasn't really feeling this song. I think the voices sound too weird and the intro was kind of annoying. 4.Kross Roads Inn 6/10 Madrox's voice sounds like his voice in "Killing Season" which I found to get annoying. Monoxide is really good though. Chorus is a little weak too. 5.They Told Me 7/10 Another solid track, besides Madrox's voice again. 6.When I Get To Hell 8/10 Good track and Madrox uses his normal voice so that's a plus. 7.Kill With Us 3/10 Song just sounds too hectic like they tried to make it into a metal song or something 8.Buckets Of Blood 10/10 What can I say about this song, It's just awesome and I don't mind Madrox's voice. Plus the music video is so cool. Chorus is extremely catchy. 9.Death Note 8/10 Good song, has a good beat. 10.All Of The Above 5/10 Wasn't feeling this song either, beat isn't that good either. 11.Whoop Whoop 9/10 Another solid track 12.My Enemies 7/10 Chorus is interesting. Other than that, it's an alright track. 13.Bella Morte 3/10 Just found the track to be boring. 14.Woe Woe 4/10 Another boring track in my opinion 15.Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha 1/10 Just hated it So strong songs are It Don't Stop, Gothic Chick, Buckets Of Blood, Death Note, When I Get To Hell, and Whoop Whoop.

It takes a couple listens, but if you're a Juggalo/Juggalette you will dig this disc. Twiztid takes scary to a new level. And track 3 "Buckets of Blood" is off the hook!

Possibly their best album,

Twiztid has expanded their horizons with W.I.C.K.E.D. bringing the feel of their oft spoken love of horror movies into their album. Songs seperated by sound effects creating a scene you can see clearly. The album has no guest stars (except Blaze but I can't figure out where) and does not need them.
With HAHAHAAHAHAH Twiztid experiments with a stranger format and it works, not much of a single, but as part of the CD it is perfect. The album maintains its aura throughout both in sound and lyric. This is a horror movie brought to your home stereo. Props to Twiztid. I'd buy it again!

w.i.c.k.e.d. is wicked!,
This review is from: W.I.C.K.E.D (Audio CD)
Let me start out buy saying this album is evil!! Every song on this has blood, murder, and death. I have been down since 97 and have all of the psy catalog, besides the fright fest cds. This is darker than hell's pit and has less filler than that album did. Buckets of blood is a great song, with a hook of More blood more death less peace in the streets, How many buckets of blood. Then Ha HA HA ha ha ha, has one of the scariest beats I've ever heard it's right up there with Prom Queen from ICP and Rose Garden from AMB, and the video is flagged on youtube you have to confirm your birthday just to watch it, cause they are killing people in it, it's like a short horror film, lots of blood, best video ever!! Krossroads Inn is about a haunted motel where Twiztid are trying to catch video footage of ghosts. All of the above is Twiztid rapping from the coffin and they know who visits them each day and how it effects them.
Killing Season is a dark song about how some people have no direction and kill for no reason, Monoxide raps He lost a battle with life, and couldn't have kids with his wife and so he f@%ked her with a butcher knife. That is Evil! Whoop Whoop is just Twiztid stabbing and killing and saying nobody can do it like they do. When I get to Hell is an awesome track talking about what Twiztid are going to do in hell when they die, like have sex with Marilyn Monroe and kill fifty of the devil's minions and find Heath Ledger. W.I.C.K.E.D. is a very solid album and won't anger most fans.

Now at first listen of this album, I was thrown off. I thought here we go the downfall! After several listens later I was just amazed at the layering of this album, and the now obvious view of how much time and effort was taken in placing all the elements. I am a fan of twiztid and icp, I get what this label is trying to do so I guess it puts me at an advantage in discovering things thru different eyes. With that said if you don't care about these artists you are not gonna get it and you should stick with the jonas bros. Independent labels rule!

Brilliant!
After hastilly reviewing the last Lotus, and Mans Myth I decided to listen to this a few times before reviewing. I rushed to judge the previously mentioned albums harshly only to end up loving both. W.I.C.K.E.D. I listened to several times in the comfort of my home as well as in the car. Twiztid has taken elements from Freak Show, Mans Myth, and Mutant as well as some minor elements from the previous album "Independence Day" (the latter of which highly disappointed me) to create a perfect blend of Concept, Horror Core styled, trippy Rap. Musically the disc combines a perfect blend of Horror Soundtrack, Psychedelic Electronica, with brief lapses in Metal, and Rock. At times the album sounds as smooth as old Ambient Detroit Electronica, and other times briefly mixes in pounding metal riffs, and rolling bass kicks that are strikingly similar to what you would expect to hear from Horror influenced music like Skinny Puppy, or White Zombie, or even NIN. Madrox seems to dominate just a tad on the disc spitting his older monstrous, Industrial style vocals which seem to fit beats a little more comfortably. However Monoxide is not left out, and is by no means drowned out. Lyrically the album captures the Classic Horror concepts so often used by Twiztid, ICP, and Lotus over the years that we cant get enough of. Always sporting that same tongue and cheek serious humor thats so similar what artists like the Misfits wrote about in their music in the early 80's. The only criticism I have is that there isnt a solid anthem to the album like "We Dont Die" or "Story of our Lives" Theres a lot of great bumps, but nothing on that leval of Ear Candy (which may be a good thing) In closing if you love Horror influenced Music whether its Rap, Punk, Metal, or Industrial, this is probably an album that youll enjoy as much as I did. |
