From Library Journal
This revised edition of Jochum's 1977 book of almost the same title is an indispensable addition for any library concerned with 20th-century poetry in English. Its aim is to list virtually every critical study of Yeats published through 1986, generally omitting only such items as B.A. and M.A. theses, short reviews, and the many Japanese-language studies already assembled by Shotaro Oshima in his W.B. Yeats and Japan (Tokyo: Hokuseidon, 1965). Jochum has added a chronological index but decided to drop both the provenance index and the use of asterisks to indicate items he regards as "essential reading." For that reason, larger libraries may prefer to retain the older edition. Still, Yeats studies are served very well by this excellent compilation.
