Product Description
Uses a magnetic sensor to detect the opening of a protected door or window. A 90 dB alarm will then alerts any attempted entry scaring off potential intruders. May also be used within the home to alert parents to children opening a gun or medicine cabinate.

These alarms are very basic and really only act as "stand alone" noise makers when the two parts of the unit are separated when a door or window is opened. We installed these on the doors and windows on the dark side of a house that we inherited after a neighbor saw someone attempting to break in (it is apparently well known that the house was unoccupied since my father passed away) and we only needed something that would be loud enough to get some attention from the folks in the area. Here are my observations:
+ Easy to Install; these need to be installed fairly flush, one part on the frame of the door\window and one on the movable side (we used layers of double stick tape to shim up the two parts, very easy)
+ Easy to Use; really very intuitive
+ Loud; these are loud enough for my needs of getting the neighbor's attention
+ Inexpensive; these are more than reasonably priced
+ Includes Preinstalled Batteries
While a professionally installed networked alarm system would be far superior for most homeowners, this set more than met needs and exceeded my expectations for the price.

All Good on the alarms, would have given 5 stars but went with 4 due to alarm not as loud as I had expected! But the price was right and I am buying several more soon!

I bought 2 sets of these for my my sunroom windows but only one set worked, the other four sets did not work at all.I emailed amazon about getting a replacement and was told that there is no more in stock from the company so I was fully refunded for the set.Another thing is that its not as loud as expectd needs a lot of improvement. I will not recommend anybody buying them, they are very cheaply made.

Not so good
These alarms are not that great.They are VERY hard to get on and only one of four had batterys that worked! These things are not really worth anything.Don't buy these there junk!!!

Kinda cheap
These alarms are kind of cheap. They are touchy and hard to get aligned just right. They do work though once they are set up right.
