First, I received my SPT WA-1000E 10,000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Remote Control from Amazon.com on time and without any damage whatsoever.

Installation in my upstairs office area only required cutting a few inches off the 4" plastic window interface panel with a jig saw to fit. The resulting panel remains readily adjustable so I can now relocate my unit to a much larger window without any further size modification.

The air conditioner started immediately and within minutes began exhausting cooled air at about 50 degrees. The remote control works exactly like it should, permitting adjustments of fan speed, mode of operation (fan only or cooling or as a dehumidifier), and temperature settings from about 25 feet away.

I chose to not install a 2nd-story condensate line to drain accumulated moisture continuously, instead opting to manually empty the accumulator (which is very easy to do) about once a day, depending on how much it is operated.

As for price, my total cost was the best I could find anywhere.

Best idea I've ever had! It was always too warm upstairs and ac ran 24/7. After purchasing this unit, whole house is cooler (2000 sq ft). Install was easy, but had to buy more exhaust vent, about 6-8 ft. Window vent flashing was too small by about 4 inches, but duct tape (matching color) fixed the problem. Blows very cold and is not too loud. Unit moves well around the room with extra vent hose and really is portable. Wish I'd purchased one long ago, my electric bill is even better. I would recommend this item to a friend.

We bought this A/C unit in the middle of July for our little ones. It arrived fine but broke only after one use. It kept showing us error code "P2". However we could not find any further information of this error code "P2" from the user mannual. We called the technical support and they avoided telling us what the code "P2" means but said that we should return the item for exchange or refund. It felt very strange so we decides to return this item for refund.

We contacted the store123 which was not very prompt in responding in first place. Finally they sent us the return label via email, which was meant to send to another customer. (They just changed the return label but not the content of the email.) They asked us to send the item to UPS store (they did not pay the fee of UPS pickup), which is more than 70 pounds. We finally sent the item and called the store123. They told me that they will send me a check within 5-7 days. Now it is more than 10 days. There is still no refund. I called them however they never gave me a clear answer but repeated that they need to confirm with the warehouse...

very terrible experience with the store123 and bad experience with the A/C unit. I will NEVER buy anything from STORE123 or this brand of A/C unit!!!!
