As the other reviewer has stated, the refurbished tablet seems new, I see no point in purchasing a new one.

Anyway, about the tablet: it works very nice, even for me (I'm left-handed). The pen needs a little getting used to, but learning how to use the tablet is very simple and quick.The touch/buttons on the tablet are very convenient, and pen flicks (drag/scroll/zoom using pen) are also a nice touch. I'm using it mostly for graphic work in Photoshop; the Photoshop brush will sense the pressure of how hard the pen is being used on the tablet, and correspondingly add thickness to it.

If I really had to point out something bad about it... it'd be the size. But Wacom does have larger models for a bigger price tag.

I am studying Flash web design and AS3. Sometimes I have trouble with mouse on Photoshop and Illustrator so I decided to buy this product.

1. It is same as New! - I bought refurbished product 3~4 times, but they come with "refurbished" stamped box, or no box. But this is same box as new

2. Small!!: It does not take space on my desk.

3.Function key is Useful: It is not a lot of Fn key but for me.... it is enough.

1. If you work on big screen system, you gonna want bigger one. I use it for my macbook.

2. you need to buy Replacement tip - like every other tablets do (not problem)

3. Scroll button is not comfortable. better use macbook touch pad.

If you are looking at this chances are you already know what a wacom tablet is so I won't go into details. My review is on this refurbished model in particular, and I must say its great. Looks new without a mark on it, although looking at some reviews others may come with some minor flaws. Its packages just like new and works perfect too. I wish they had these back over a year ago when I bought my Genius tablet as this refurb is actually cheaper. Its like night and day between the two and would never use another Genius tablet again. I am using this for drawing too, not for the hand writing input its intended for, and it works great. Nice, small, thin and portable.

I purchased this product to use in my office so that I could digitally sign documents. Since I was only looking for something to sign my name with, I needed to find a cheap solution that worked. After received this device, I was incredibly impressed at the ease of installation. You simply plug the thing in, run the software, and it configures everything seamlessly. The software that it comes with will even run you through a little tutorial of how to use the device so that you will know what all the little buttons do. The pen is very accurate, even though it takes some getting used to before you can start efficiently navigating around your computer with it.

One thing that you may want to note is that the device actually comes in the normal factory packaging, instead of the unmarked cardboard box that many refurbished product come in. All the manuals, and what I like to call "Pretty Printing" come with it.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product, even though it is refurbished, to anyone who is looking for a great tablet at a low price. Since these things normally range in the $200-$350's, it would make a great gift for that nerd that you love.

Okay, I purchased this product as a Christmas present for my teenage son who asked for this type tablet for his computer. He didn't mention any particular brand so I researched Amazon; never knew something like this existed 'till my son told me about it. I didn't want to spend too much money because you know how teens can be; they sometimes use a new item for a couple days and that's the end of it. Due to so many positive reviews on this particular refurbished tablet and the price, at the time about $45, I bought it. It came perfectly packaged which was nice since it would be opened Christmas Day. I peeked inside and the product was in very good condition. By the time Christmas rolled around, my son had forgot he requested it, so it was a nice surprise for him and he immediately plugged it into his laptop and started using it Christmas morning. His girlfriend also got a tablet from her parents but a different kind and brand, not sure what; my son seemed to think the one that he got was simpler and easier to use. It is a few weeks after Christmas and he still uses it all the time; his friends like to mess with it, too. Very happy with the purchase.

It took about a half hour to get used to the functions, but after that it was a breeze to operate.

bought this refubished and has been an awsome tool. The drivers it comes with though did not work for windows 7 so I had to search for it.

I was a bit hesitant on ordering this at first, it being refurbished and all, but after getting it I'm certainly glad I did. The tablet, itself, was in good condition, with just a few scratches on the pad but it was refurbished after all and its not like I wouldn't create more myself. Its a bit hard to get use to it, seeing how I've always used a mouse. But once you get it down it makes it second nature to use.
Installation was a breeze. Just plug it in, run the disc, and you're done. Same with the software which are fun to play with. You can mess with photo's, create your own artwork, among other things. Or just goof off to get a feel for the tablet is also great. I spent hours just messing with each program to familiarize with it and the whole concept of a pen and paper being my new mouse. It's not something you would use for gaming, trackballs are the best for me, but for simple web browsing and drawings it's excellent. I even use it at work since I enjoy it so much.
So if you're looking into something to start off with, not being sure of what tablets you want or even if getting one at all, I would say try the bamboo not only because of the design, easy installation, or its easy use but also because of the software that comes along with it. ^_^

I was a little leary buying something "refurbished". Especially electronics. That being said, the tablet arrived very quickly and was in perfect condition. If it weren't for the refurbished notice on the label, I would have sworn it was brand new. No scratches, dents, or marks whatsoever.

I have ordered various products from Amazon in the past and have never had one bit of trouble. I will add "electronics" to the list of trouble free purchases I have made.

I used to own an off brand writing tablet and thought I had a good product. Well now that I own a Wacom I will never go back. The quality and feel far surpass my previous tablet. The pen came with a scratch on it, but what can you expect with factory refurbished.
