If this device gives new life to one pair of pants, well then you've gotten back the cost of it! It works well if you follow the directions and wet the waistband first.

I spend many days bending over doing gardening work, and so most pants for ladies feel uncomfortably pinched in the waist in that position. I've also had a few perfect pairs of pants that after the first wash, shrunk a bit and were too tight in the waist.

This little contraption (I read about it on Zogdo, the gadget blog) saved my favorite pants and made my workpants a bit more comfortable. It was worth every penny and I'd recommend it - especially for the holiday time of year, when pants seem to "shrink" more than usual!!

This product really works as advertised! It allows expanding the waist band for all of your cotton pants,( up to 2 inches) that normally shrink over time with multiple washings and drying in the clothes dryer. I had at least 6 pairs of pants( otherwise in new condition) that I could no longer wear because of shrinking waist size, but now I don't have to buy 6 new pairs of pants!

During first use, the knob broke off when tightening the zippered front of my jeans into the device. I tried to use it anyway with buttoned jeans, and a set of the extenders broke in half when strecting the jeans taunt. This product should be made of more durable materials.

I purchased this item in hopes to stretch my jeans in the waist area. I don't like tight fitting jeans. I used this stretcher ONE time and it broke. It just snapped. I've tried to contact the company and I did not get a response, what a disappointment!! I was willing to try the product one more time if they would have replaced it.

ETA: I contacted the company and they immediately rushed another stretcher out to me. I was also given advice to not over tighten or it will break. I will be more careful the next time I use it +++

The waistband stretcher is a good piece of equipment. Thought it was not the best idea to tell people it would break easily instead of improving it.

You were totally correct by saying it would break. The threaded end did infact snap off the third time I used it. However, I repaired it and it is now much stronger and should have been done by the designer or someone in the chain prior to now.

I could advise someone how to improve it.

It is akward to use. Hard to keep it attached to the waistband. The seprate units are wrong sized for what I need. The unit is not strong enough. It buckles when strecthed out. I am dissapointed it. I would not recommend. A waste of money.

This thing is a piece of junk. Broke the first time I used it. I have two Inch-Masters (made in germany) that I have used for years, and paid about the same for them. Buy the original Inch-Masters if you can find them.
