5.0 out of 5 stars Correction on War Admiral and his "real name", April 13, 2004
By A Customer
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: WAR ADMIRAL MED 6 (Toy)
For those of you reading all the reviews, the person who said that War Admiral's real name is Man o' war father of seabiscuit, was in fact incorrect. War Admiral is not seabiscuits father nor is his real name man o' war. War Admiral and Man O' War are TWO DIFFERENT horses. However, both war admiral and seabiscuit are decendants of Man O' War. Seabiscuits father was Hard Tack. Just thought I would clarify that. Anyway, Breyer horses and animals are wonderful, they are durable, educational, collectible, and a lot of fun. Save the more expensive ones for older children who will understand collectible value, but don't hesitate to buy the cheaper classic sized or lower priced traditinals for younger children. My 2 year old plays w/ all my old breyer horses from my childhood, he loves them. =D

5.0 out of 5 stars A Tribute Worthy of a Noble Thoroughbred, July 23, 2003
By A Customer
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars

Breyer planned to sculpt this mold long before its merchandising deal with the Seabiscuit marketeers. Why? War Admiral was a Triple Crown Winner with impeccable breeding and a bloodline that has achieved greater immortality than Seabiscuit. Breyer makes a substantial investment in its model horses and therefore chooses only the best of the best. This model does justice to a horse that did much more than lose to Seabiscuit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Legolas' Review //: War Admiral, July 18, 2005

A wonderful animal, a true Champ. In 1937 he won the Triple Crown, and though he was beaten by another Champ Seabiscuit, the Admiral is still a horse worthy of Breyer modeling. Very educational in his own historic and interesting way, son of Man o' War, uncle of Seabiscuit. He's also cute an fun! He's not as durable as he could be, but he's a true classic!

5.0 out of 5 stars War Admiral's Real Name by Janel Gibson, April 6, 2004
A Kid's Review
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars

War Admirals real name is Man O War father of Seabiscuit. Man O War was the first one to make horse history with a great speed record. This model is a fun horse to play with buy some race tack and have ready to run a race. But be careful with him and other models they can break easyily. Have fun and try not to break him or Seabiscuit they would't like that.
