Years ago I was an avid reader of adventures tales, but most current books seem to have never-ending explosions, killings, and mayhem with heroes of Herculean powers that leads one to wonder why waste the time and money to read some unrealistic far-out prattle. With this bias in mind I decided upon the recommendations of some friends to read Wargod, and I must say that I'm glad I did.

The first part of the multi-page novel sets up a scenario of places and characters we're all familiar with; however, after you begin to feel as though you have a personal connection with these individuals, all hell breaks out.

The author writes with clarity and gathers you into a web of history, intrigue, and realistic portrayals that will scare the heck out of you. If you want to read a book that isn't a bang, bang, shoot'em up story, (although there's plenty of fire power in the tale) perhaps this is the book for you.

It's one of the best fiction books I've read in years, and hopefully this will not be a one book never heard from again author.

One of the best thrillers I have read in some time; this book is full of intrigue, mystery, and murder. The author sucks you into an adventure story that will prevent you from laying the book down, and his twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved watching his rich characters grow into maturity. William Gray achieves an incredible balance between a tactical military thriller, espionage, friendships of a life time, and a tale of good and evil. I'm looking for a potential sequel with bated breath.

Wargod is a great book that holds your attention throughout its entirety. I have a difficult time finding books that catch my attention early enough to stick with them. This book accomplished that, and was a pleasure to read till the end. I would recommend Wargod to anyone that likes a good suspenseful story and outstanding character development.

This was one of the longest books I've read, but it was well worth it. A must read for those who enjoy military style books.

William Gray's attention to detail is amazing. If you're interested in an education in military tactics, computer hacking and the Catholic infra structure-you'll be on the edge of your seat. If you're drawn to personalities and intrigue-you'll enjoy the ride. This book has something for everyone.

The story is fantastic. Like a previous reviewer stated, start early, it is a long book.

You ever remember watching a long movie, but it is so good, you don't realize how long you have been sitting until you try to stand up? I finally had to stop reading and just couldn't make myself look at the time... My Best guess is that it was near 4 o'clock in the morning.

Since the book was so good, and there were so few reviews, I just wanted to go ahead and put in my two cents.

Great book!

I am an avid reader. I say that, so you will understand when I say that this is the very best author's first book I have read. It moved "The Hunt For Red October" to my number 2 slot. Mr. Gray has woven an extremely fascinating tale. Being a 30 year veteran of the armed forces as well as an executive of a computer company, I can say that his research on how things are done (or not done) is spot on. I would suggest you begin this book early in the night, otherwise you may still be reading when the rooster crows. No way you can put it down. It draws you in and keeps you captivated. I originally obtained the book through the Prime Lending Library, but after reading it, I have purchased my own copy. Can't wait for the next one.
