I'm one of those "old-codgers" that cringes each time I think I'm buying something "Made In China" because I associate that with inferior, cheap and non-durable, not to mention people here in the USA have lost a boatload of manufacturing jobs... (OK, I'm off my high-horse.)

The bulbs "don't" look like the typical stuff one might expect from China. The filaments are thick, they look to be attached to the electrodes very well and the screw-in base is made of brass that looks hefty enough to handle twice the electric current needed to go through the lamps.

I bought two of these bulbs. One to keep in a dog kennel because we had a cold snap and my dogs needed a boost of warmth and one for me and my bursitis, arthritis and tendonitis. (I should have said I'm a worn-out old codger...)

The lamps arrived in a large box, packed as if they were going to the moon. No way short of a train-wreck could the bulbs have broken.

They worked well, heating my shoulder and not overwhelming the room with ambient light as I watch TV. The heat penetrates well and is much more convenient than sitting here with a heating pad on my shoulder.

As far as the kennel, they have worked well in 11 degree temperature and probably have been bumped around while the filaments were illuminated and hot. They are perfect for my kennel because they don't overwhelm the dogs with a bright-light at night to interfere with their sleep. These bulbs do but out a visible light, but it is subdued and not overwhelming like a white light, and I suspect these bulbs have a better penetrating heat than a white lamp of the same wattage.

Not much more to say except I'm happy with the purchase, the vendor shipped them fast and they arrived without being damaged.

We replaced our old over-the-stove microwave with a Viking range hood. It had a socket for a heat lamp but lacked the bulb. I did a google search and came up with this one. So I ordered it, based on the positive feedback by other purchasers. They were right! Very quick service, perfectly packed product and now my kitchen looks like it belongs to someone who is VERY serious about food. Funny thing about that . . .


Anyway, great bulb from a great company.

The blub was every thing i needed and more . My quail are doing fine under this light . The service i received with Amazon was excellent, items well packed to prevent my light blubs from damage getting to me .and the time it took to get to me was good as well.

I usually pick up my heat lamp bulbs at Petco...but had decided to order here in advance of needing one for the higher wattage on those 20's nights here in Florida. It may be a fluke but this bulb lasted 2 days. Nothing happened to it after it was in my care. I did with this bulb what I have done for 10 years with all the other infrared bulbs I get. I simply installed it and put it on a timer. I was sick about it failing so quickly, and grateful my Blue Fronted Amazon didn't perish. Just saw this order while reviewing a more recent purchase and decided to review.

I bought this bulb after someone recommended I get one to help with back pain. Well it's also helping me stay warm this winter so far without turning on my heater much since I installed it in my ceiling fan's light socket. It's really well made with a bronze or brass base. So far so worth the $9.99 or so I spent.

This bulb works wonderfully in my brooder lamps, and I was delighted to locate a bulb that is so long-life-rated! The hassles associated with changing of burned-out bulbs, ordering/shipping/etc, make it worthwhile to purchase high quality infared heat bulbs, in my opinion.
