1.0 out of 5 stars Severe Printing Error in this Book, January 27, 2005
By
This review is from: WCDMA for UMTS, 2nd Edition (Hardcover)
My copy has a severe printing error in which the first part of chapter 8 is reprinted in place of the last part of chapter 8 and the first part of chapter 9.

This ruins the Radio Network Planning and Radio Resource Management chapters.

If you do buy the book, check for this defect immediately and return within the 30 day return window if you want a refund.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good UMTS Overview, April 30, 2007
This review is from: WCDMA for UMTS, 2nd Edition (Hardcover)
This book is well organized and gives enough detail to understand the basics of UMTS/WCDMA. To actually implement anything you'll have to go directly to the 3GPP specs. FYI, if you can read Chinese, you can buy the Chinese version of this book for $US 6!
