Not even made for Wrestling Fans,
By Carlo Esparza (Sacramento,CA) - See all my reviews

If your looking to buy some Clear and Complete Wrestling Themes like Randy Savage,Hulk Hogan,nWo Wolfpack. Then this CD is not it!It does have it on their but each officail Wrestlers entrance is only 1:00 long thats it!Its not even complete. But they have some Themes from other Artists and were never used, like some from Kid Rock and Limp bizkit (which both suck hard time) I was hoping for some Wrestlers themes like Erenst Miller,Lex Luger. The only CLEAR and Complete Wrestlers themes are the following *Sting - Seek and Destroy *Creative Control - Loose (Very cool) *Vampiro OLD - Take it (ICP also very cool) *Terry Funk - Fist Full *Konnan Thats it,everything else on the CD Sucks. Please dont get this CD and wait until WCW can come out with WCW The Music vol 1,because I cant handle this.Whats next Backstreet boys?HELL NO! Save Your Money on this one, this was NOT made for wrestling fans, trust me

Cheap Imitation - bottom line !,

Not a patch of the WWF quality type of music cd . The highlights of the Cd are not the wrestlers themes but the artists like metallica, megadeth, kid rock etc ( Shouldn't you showscase your wrestlers first ? ) . Nearly all the wrestlers music is under 80 seconds ! and has heenan and fat tony talking at the start etc like on the tv show ! . This has been a wasted opportunity for WCW and the people behind wwf vol.4 will be laughing their heads off at the comparison . Only the most die-hard wrestling fan should bother getting this at all - very disappointing. One other thing ... why wasn't The Cat or Disco inferno on the Cd ?

Junk,

First I would like to say I just bought this CD because of ICP. After listening to this CD I wish I would have just gotten the MP3. WCW like always drops the ball where WWF exceeds. This album has little to do with wrestling and a lot to do with trying to make a quick buck. The entrance themes are hacked to death, a lot of the other music isn't even really related to WCW in the least, not to say that it is bad music just you could go out and buy the other artists cds and be more satisified. This album is the biggest example of corporate crap out there.

Don't Follow My Footsteps,

I regret I did not read the reviews here before I got this CD. Being a diehard WWF wrestling fan I was hoping this CD follows up on the legacy of the WWR volume music series. Instead of focusing on wrestlers' entrance themes, they incorporate a lot of songs from various rock/rap artists. Even worst is that each of those theme songs are around a minute long! Plus some theme's background have the voices of Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan (WHY? )! I find this CD more a promotional item and it is for diehard WCW fans only.

WCW's first strike,
By Philipp Anderegg (Burbank, CA, USA) - See all my reviews

Hey yo, "WCW Mayhem The Music" is the first soundtrack CD of WCW (in case you didn't know). It features artists like the "Insane Clown Posse", "Slayer", "Metallica", "Megadeth", "Kid Rock", "Cypress Hill" and many more as well as different wrestler themes. Now, why don't I give it five stars? Well, the reason is simple, the only part missing are full length wrestler themes. Almost all the themes are cut short to one minute (hey, WCW, I would have liked to have the whole Hulk Hogan or DDP theme on the CD). There are some full length themes like Sting's "Seek and Destroy", PG-13's "Take It" or Terry Funk's "Fist Full". Anyway, I recommend this CD for every WCW fan out there. So, let's hope that the next WCW soundtrack CD will have more full length themes on it (one of my personal favourites, "Sid Vicious"). C-Ya all at the next WCW event.

WCW Mayhem-What a dissapointment,
By A Customer
This review is from: WCW Mayhem (Audio CD)
I got Mayhem primaraly for the Wrestlers themes. All of them are poorly edited. Having heard most of them complete I could hear the edits. There is some good songs on the Cd...Crush Em from Megadeth and Seek & Destroy from metallica save me from giveing it 0 stars. You would think that with 3 WWF CDs before Mayhem went in to production and all of them doing very well they would know what the Fans want in a wrestling CD

Who's Album is This?,
This review is from: WCW Mayhem (Audio CD)
If this is supposed to be a collection of guest artists (like the new "WWF Aggression" CD), it a good ablum. If this is supposed to be a collection of the wrestlers theme songs, AVOID at ALL COSTS! There is less than a handful of the wrestlers' themes and most of them aren't complete. They even have the nerve to add commentator voices on a few of the tracks. This ablum is nothing like the "WWF- the Music" series. No Disco Inferno, no Harlem Heat, no Luger, no Bret, and a whole bunch of others are missing. They don't even have the NWO! Wait for another WCW CD if you want wrestling themes.

AWFUL!,

Absolutely terrible! The only reason why it got one star is because of Metallica. The CD Exchange by my house wo't even buy it back from me! Just as in wrestling, the WCW copies the WWF and they do a terrible job! Being a Jericholic I will never EEEEEEEEEEEEVER buy another WCW CD AGAIN!

Good for rock/alternative music fans,BAD for wrestling fans!,
By A Customer
This review is from: WCW Mayhem (Audio CD)
This CD is great if you buy it for the tracks from such performers as Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit, but if you're a wrestling fan, as I am, it will be a huge disappointment. Most wrestling themes are under a minute and have commentary like on TV. Most of the wrestling themes on here could be found in better quality elsewhere on the internet. If you're buying this for the non-wrestling music, enjoy, but if your thinking of buying this because of the wrestling themes, I have one word for you: DON'T

...a really bad CD? This is a BIG disappointment for a debut CD from WCW. If yoou're gonna buy one wrestling CD this winter, make it WWF Volume 4. I was expecting just the music, like the WWF CDs, instead I get a bunch of bands I've never heard of, alot of crowd noise, too short tracks (DDP: 50 Seconds), too long tracks (New Sting: Over 7 minutes), and some really cheesey ones (The Hogan theme was taken straight from a Nitro back in July, crowd and commentary noise included, and 2 worthless tracks of a guy being pinned and a guy being pummeled in the corner). To put it all in one sentance: Don't buy this CD.
