This review is from: WCW Slamboree '95 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
With matches so boring they put you to sleep Slamboree delivers weak and uneventful matches the worst being the legends reunion match aired in black and white to increase the already present eyesore. Hogan and the gang run through the typical stale dated match with Flair and company which should've been aired in black and white as well. Sting however and Ray Trailer aka the big boss man turn up the heat as they go through tables and turn the ring into a warzone, in an impressively revolutionary "hardcore match-up" I recommend soley on this match though.

WCW Slamboree '95 Review, April 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: WCW Slamboree '95 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Hosted by Eric Bischoff (Jackoff) and Bobby Heenan, Slamboree '95 was a good event, and I say that because there was really little or at all no surprizes, the only surprize was the debut of The Giant on camera but at the time had no name. Sure the event had some cool matches like Sting Vs. Big Bubba in a "lights out" match and if you don't know what a lights out match is, it simply means that anything goes. It was a typical match with a pretty typical ending, if you don't know who won I don't know where you've been lately. I'm not knocking on this event because it was a good one but it really had no run-ins, or surprizes to make this a great event or one to remember for awhile. This event is one of a few WCW ppv's I have had the privledge of attending. It's cool if you just have the sudden urge to watch wrestling or rasslin' as some of you people like to refer it as. It took place at an average building, the Bayfront Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. It's a good event to rent but I wouldn't pay $38.23, i'm lucky that I found one used at the local video store for like $14.00. But it's not up to me if you want to buy the tape for the price that they are selling it here. In closing, I just want to say that Slamboree was a cool event and I want to give you my review of the matches.
Nasty Boys Vs. Harlem Heat.....Average tag match.
The Butcher(Disciple) Vs. Kevin Sullivan...Not that great.
Wahoo McDaniel Vs. Dick Murdoch...The best part of the match is that it was filmed in 90's b&w (black and white).
(The Great)Muta Vs Paul Orndorff...Plain match with few high spots.
Arn Anderson Vs Alex Wright...Great match.
Hawk Vs. Meng (Added Match to the card)...Good match but only lasted a little over 4 minutes.
Hall of Fame induction (Time to fast-forward)
Sting Vs. Big Bubba....Possibly the best match on the card but with such a non-surprizing ending.
Hulk (yes, Hulk) Hogan & Randy Savage Vs Ric Flair & Vader...It was a good match for a main event, it had it's spots but again it ended in typical fashion.
And Did I mention that this was the last year for the legends matches, those went over with a bang (sarcasm), the only one that was good was the Tully Blanchard Vs. Terry Funk match from Slamboree '94.
That's my imput, take it or leave it!
