> Although WD-40 is one of those products with 1000s uses.
SMALL CAN RECOMMEDED
> When your car will not start on rainy days, or after going through a puddle: Open the hood, spray the sparkplug wires, sparkplugs, and ignition coil liberally with WD-40. IMPORTANT: Wait 5 minutes. Your car will start. Same with boat engines. WD-40 physically displaces moisture. YOU SHOULD HAVE A 3OZ CAN OF WD-40 IN YOUR GLOVE COMPARTMENT---JUST IN CASE.
BIG CAN RECOMMENDED
> WD-40 is instant repair for awning windows which will not lock shut, or will not open, or for stuck or stiff windows of any type.
> WD-40 is instand repair for anything that should move but doesn't, such as garden clippers.
> WD-40 can be used as an "engine starter" for hard-to-start gasoline engines. Take off the air filter (of your lawn mower, etc) spray some WD-40 into the carburetor and start it. Warning--in this case the WD-40 mist is flammable---so be sure that you are out-of-doors in an open space (not a garage).
> WD-40 is wonderful for removing non-water-soluble glue---for example price labels and the gummy mess left after you've tried to peel off a label. Spray on, wait 5 minutes and then rub off with a cotton cloth.
> WD-40 does evaporate eventually, so it isn't an ideal long-term solution to anything. WD-40 is too thin to provide much protection against the wear of moving parts. It is a petroleum-base oil, so it isn't good for rubber (petroleum oil and grease dissolve into rubber, weakening it). In fact, the reason that you can use it on automotive engines without causing damage to rubber components is that by the time the engine has gotten up to operating temperature, nearly all the WD-40 has evaporated.Read more ›
Bottom line: works great and easy to use, just watch for any mess after you spray it.
We always have some trouble with our outside locks, during and after monsoon season in AZ. The dust storms make locks difficult to use, and I'm always spraying the locks & our keys as well. In addition, I've used WD-40 on door jams; all locks; keys; any tools that rusted; And many more household uses.
I've also used it on bikes, treadmills, and for uses on my car. I never had any problems with the straw, which makes certain jobs easier. In the long-run, I've saved a small fortune by using this product, instead of buying something new, because my old device was rusted. Its performance is Superior, and I make sure I always have it available at home for immediate use. Highly recommended!
