Product Description

THREE LITTLE PIGS (1933) BIG BAD WOLF - "WHO'S AFRAID OF THE BIG BAD WOLF?" WDCC - Walt Disney Classics Collection WDCC - 1996 1933 was marked with the release of The Three Little Pigs from Walt Disney. Directed by Burt Gillett and produced by Walt Disney, this is Disney's take on the classic tale we all know and love. The cartoon won an Academy Award for Best Short Cartoon in 1934 and in 1994 it was voted the #11 all time greatest cartoons. It has some of the best classic Disney animation including the scary, detailed Big Bad Wolf! This listing is for the Big Bad Wolf from the Three Little Pigs WDCC collection. This piece is entitled "Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf" and features the evil, devious wolf as he peers through the trees at the pig's house with malice in his eyes, drooling at the thought of eating the little piggies. This piece literally features clear glaze around his mouth and in puddles on the ground to show his drool! Super detailed! This is also the limited edition release of this piece featuring longer, more menacing teeth than the other version. This limited edition piece is (ZIGART)number 4928 of 7,500. Something interesting to note is that with this release Disney decided to produce and number the higher number pieces first making this piece actually closer to the original production run than the lower number pieces.

I have been eyeing this piece for some time, and eventually came upon one, at a price I couldn't miss out on. It arrived from the seller in perfect condition with all associated certificates included. I have always been impressed with the detail of these sculptures. Just like they stepped off the movie screen, and this piece is no exception. The only problem now, is that I will have to get the 3 pigs to go with it.
