I have had no problems with this cordless drill for the few months I have owned it. Further, I enjoy having the TWO batteries, always placing the most recently used in the charger and snapping the fully charged battery into the drill head for its next use. What pleases me the most about the complete drill set is having the two batteries because (1) buying a replacement 18 VDC battery is about half what a new cordless drill will cost and (2) if I have a big job, i.e. using a cement drill bit, I have that extra battery to continue completing the job. FIVE STARS HERE !
